The Spar Proteas secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Africa Netball Cup with a commanding 71-48 victory over Zambia on Thursday night.
They will now face Zimbabwe in the semi-finals on Friday at 12 p.m. The tournament, which takes place in Namibia, features both women’s and men’s teams and runs from Monday to Saturday.
Under the leadership of captain Khanyisa Chawane, affectionately known as KC, the team has won every match since the start of the competition.
The Spar Proteas have claimed the title three times, with their most recent victory in 2021, when they defeated Uganda.
Meanwhile, the South African men’s national team has advanced to the finals, having won all six of their games in the tournament.
