Ownpay & Hollywoodbets Black Friday Madness Competition-Terms and Conditions

1. The competition runs from 01-30 November 2024.

2. The final draw will be on 03 December 2024.

3. Only entries resulting from deposits made through Instant EFT and Capitec Pay will be considered
valid for participation in the competition.

4. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered, regardless of any technical or other issues that may occur.

5. Customers must be over the age of 18 to participate in the competition and have a valid Hollywoodbets account.

6. Each deposit counts as one entry into the competition.

7. The Betting Vouchers will be deposited directly into the winners’ Hollywoodbets account, and they will not be able to withdraw.

8. The Betting Vouchers must be turned (staked) once at odds of 5 / 10 (0.5 decimal) or greater, before withdrawing.

9. Entries are unlimited; however, a winner cannot win more than once during the duration of the competition.

10. Eighty-eight (88) winners will be randomly selected via all draws from valid entries.

11. The draws to announce the winners will take place at the Hollywoodbets Team Support Office and will be supervised by an Internal Auditor on the below dates:

• Draw 1 – 06 November 2024: R1 000 Takealot Voucher x4, R1 000 BV x4.

• Draw 2 – 07 November 2024: R2 000 Betting Voucher x6, Skyworth TV x1,

• Draw 3 – 12 November 2024: R1 000 Takealot Voucher x3, R1 000 BV x5.

• Draw 4 – 14 November 2024: R2 000 betting voucher x6, Skyworth TV x1,

• Draw 5 – 20 November 2024: R1 000 Takealot Voucher x3, R1 000 BV x5.

• Draw 6 – 21 November 2024: R2 000 Betting Voucher x6, Skyworth TV x1, Cash Jackpot: R10 000

• Draw 7 – 22 November 2024: R1 000 BV x5, Washing Machine x1, Cash Jackpot: R12 500

• Draw 8 – 26 November 2024: R2 000 Betting Voucher x6, Skyworth TV x1, Cash Jackpot: R 15 000

• Draw 9 – 27 November 2024: R2 000 Betting Voucher x6, Washing Machine x1, Cash Jackpot: R17 500

• Draw 10 – 28 November 2024: R2 000 Betting Voucher x6, Fridge x2, Cash Jackpot: R20 000

• Draw 11 – 29 November 2024: R2 000 Betting Vouchers x3, Fridge x2, Cash Jackpot: R25 000

• Draw 12 – 03 December 2024: Home Makeover Winner: R200 000, R2 000 Betting Vouchers x3

12. All electronic prizes come with a standard manufacturer warranty, and Hollywoodbets will not be held liable for any additional warranty or cost.

13. The prizes cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

14. The winners of Appliance Vouchers need to avail themselves within 7-14 working days to collect their prizes.

15. The winners will be notified via phone call, Direct Push notification or SMS by a Hollywoodbets Team Support Office Team Member and will be supervised by an Internal Auditor.

16. The prizes are subject to change to another item of the same value should Hollywoodbets not be able to source the prizes.

17. The prize winners will need to provide an activated Hollywoodbets account, a cell phone number and an address to claim the prize.

18. The prizes will be delivered to the winners’ closest Hollywoodbets branch within four weeks of being selected.

19. Hollywoodbets’ decision regarding the winners is final and no correspondence related to the entry will be considered.

20. This competition is open to all legal residents of South Africa aged 18 years or older, who are homeowners or have the written consent of the homeowner (in case of renting).

21. A valid South African ID or passport and proof of homeownership (or written consent from the homeowner) will be required.

22. Any entrant found to be providing false information will be immediately disqualified.

23. The prize is a Home Makeover valued at R200 000, which includes either of the following:

• Appliances, selected within the budget (e.g., stove, refrigerator).

• Furniture as part of the makeover (e.g., living room, bedroom pieces).

• Home accessories (eg curtains, rugs, and décor items).

24. All contractors and service providers involved in the Home Makeover will be selected at the sole discretion of Hollywoodbets, and this decision is final. The winner must accept the contractors appointed by the Hollywoodbets. No negotiations regarding the selection of contractors will be entertained.

25. The prize is limited to the items and services specified above. Any additional costs beyond the allocated R200 000 or services requested outside this scope will not be covered by Hollywoodbets. The winner will be responsible for any extra expenses.

26. The Home Makeover is strictly limited to one property in South Africa, which must be owned or legally occupied by the winner.

27. A Hollywoodbets representative will notify the winner of the Home Makeover via phone call during the draw. The winner must respond within 24 hours to claim the prize.

28. If the Hollywoodbets representative is unable to reach the winner, or if the winner does not claim the prize within the specified time, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected.

29. The winner will be required to sign an indemnity form and may need to provide additional documentation to validate their entry.

30. The prize must be redeemed within two months of the date of the winner’s notification.

31. Hollywoodbets will not be held liable for any delays or changes in project timelines due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather, strikes, or supplier issues.

32. All materials, furniture, appliances, and accessories used in the makeover will become the property of the winner upon completion of the renovation. However, any unused materials or surplus will remain the property of Hollywoodbets or the contractors.

33. Hollywoodbets, its affiliates or any other parties associated with this competition shall not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred in connection with the competition or the prize, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

34. By entering the competition, participants agree to the collection, storage, and processing of their personal information by Hollywoodbets, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) for purposes of administering the competition.

35. Personal information will not be shared with third parties without the participant’s consent unless required by law.

36. Hollywoodbets reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants. Any participant who is found to have violated these terms and conditions will be immediately disqualified and their entry will be deemed void.

37. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the competition (e.g., through fraud, tampering, or hacking) will result in immediate disqualification.

38. Hollywoodbets reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice if unforeseen circumstances arise beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or force majeure events).

39. Should Hollywoodbets choose to amend these terms and conditions, the changes will be effective immediately and posted on the Hollywoodbets website. It is the participants’ responsibility to review the latest version of the terms.

40. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be substituted for cash or any other alternative.

41. Failure to comply with any of these terms will result in disqualification without any liability to Hollywoodbets.
42. Participants who do not wish to grant this consent should notify Hollywoodbets in writing at the time of entry.

43. The prize is intended solely for the personal benefit of the winner and cannot be used for commercial purposes. The winner is not allowed to sell, lease, or otherwise monetise any part of the prize.

44. Hollywoodbets and its authorised agents reserve the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes which have not already been won, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations, which you may have against Hollywoodbets or its authorised agents and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Hollywoodbets or its authorised agents.

45. Every entrant participating in the competition shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted these terms and conditions by virtue of their participation.

46. This competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of Hollywoodbets or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Hollywoodbets or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of all of the above.

47. By entering and participating and/or accepting any prize, the entrants, participants, users and/or winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless Hollywoodbets (including its subsidiaries, associate companies and affiliates), its directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim and/or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the competition, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a prize, and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize-related activity.
