Friday 31 March

Griffons | Draw | Blue Bulls

Handicap
Griffons | Bulls

Griffons are yet to get their first W on their return to the competition, having fallen in each of their opening games to the Sharks, Cheetahs and Lions. In spite of their obvious lack in quality, they may surprise the Bulls here with most of the Pretoria side’s A-listers on Champions Cup duty.

Like their hosts this week, the Blue Bulls are nought from three and languishing in seventh on the log. With their big guns away and little in the way of momentum to build on, they could find themselves ambushed in Welkom.

Griffons for the win.

Free State Cheetahs | Draw | Pumas

Handicap
Cheetahs | Pumas

The Cheetahs lead the way early on, albeit by a single point over their opponents this week. With their main manne in Toulon this weekend, they could find themselves overhauled here.

The Pumas have been frighteningly good so far and will be eager to take full advantage of an under-strength Cheetahs outfit in Bloemfontein.

Pumas on the minus.

Saturday 1 April

Golden Lions | Draw | Sharks

Handicap
Lions | Sharks

The Golden Lions earned their first win this season in a 41-26 defeat of Griffons in Welkom last week, but they may find the Sharks XV a tougher prospect.

The Durbanites looked good in their win over Western Province in round three and should carry that momentum into this one.

Sharks on the minus.

Western Province | Draw | Griquas

Handicap
WP | Griquas

Province will be out to rebound quickly following their disappointing showing at Kings Park last week. They shouldn’t have a problem seeing off Griquas here.

Pieter Bergh’s side are up against it in Cape Town in what is expected to be a big crowd.

WP to clear the handicap.
