England winger Tommy Freeman scored a brace of tries as the Premiership outfit converted a 12-7 halftime lead.

The Saints scored two first-half tries through George Hendy and Juarno Augustus while flanker Marcell Coetzee kept the Bulls in touch on the scoreboard with a five-pointer.

The English side were reduced to 14 men early in the second half after a yellow card to Emmanuel Iyogun but kept their composure Freeman dotted down.

Cameron Hanekom then gave the Bulls hope going into the last 10 minutes when the flanker crossed over for two tries in quick succession.

The Saints though sealed the contest when Freeman went over as the Bulls suffered consecutive losses in the tournament after going down to Saracens last week.

Jake White’s charges will now have to regroup ahead of a trip to Durban next Saturday to face the Sharks.
