The hosts will be looking to extend their unbeaten run when they take on an Australian outfit that will still be starting after their one-point defeat to Italy this past weekend.

Ireland are having a great year. They have followed up their historic win in New Zealand with a solid Autumn campaign edging the Springboks 19-16 and then seeing a much changed starting XV beat Fiji 35-17 this past weekend.

While their performance against Fiji was far from flawless, Ireland did have some nice moments with Nick Tomney’s double sparking Ireland into action after a very slow start.

One worry for the Irish following the clash against Fiji will be the fitness of centre Robbie Henshaw who went off injured around the 10-minute mark.

While Ireland recorded a routine victory over Fiji, Australia suffered one of their most embarrassing rugby moments as they went down 28-27 to Italy. The Australians struggled to contain Italian fullback Ange Capuozzo, who caused them all sorts of problems. Even worse for the Wallabies was that they had a chance to win it with a late try leaving a one-point margin but Ben Donaldson would miss the shot at goal.

I reckon the Wallabies will give a good account of themselves here. They were well and truly embarrassed las weekend and they will be determined to bounce back here. Back them on the plus.
