The Sharks have named their side to do battle against the Griquas on Wednesday, with Samoan arrival Olajuwon Noa set to make his Currie Cup debut.
The Sharks had a bye in Round 1 of the Currie Cup over the weekend, and so Wednesday’s clash in Durban will be their first in the competition.
Noa, 32, joined the Sharks ahead of the 2021–22 United Rugby Championship, having previously played semi-professionally on the Australian domestic scene.
Born in Auckland, he made his debut for Samoa in a World Cup qualifier last year and has two Test caps to his name.
Noa slots in at flank, wearing the No 7 jersey alongside No 6 Thembelani Bholi and No 8 Mpilo Gumede.
Center Marius Louw will captain the side, while Springbok prop Lourens Adriaanse will pack down in the front row.
Eduan Keyter, who arrived from the Griquas in the off-season, is set to line up against his former side on the wing.
