We select a starting XV of players that stood out from the rest during the final round of the 2025 Six Nations.
Front rankers: Pierre Schoeman (Scotland), Dan Sheehan (Ireland) and Will Stuart (England)
Schoeman scrummed well for the Scots and made 13-tackles. Soon-to-be British and Irish Lion Sheehan scored a hattrick in Rome, while hitting all 13 of his lineout darts and making 13-tackles.
Stuart scrummed exceptionally and also grabbed a try for his efforts in a fantastic outing for the Bath giant.
Second row: Maro Itoje (England) and Tadhg Beirne (Ireland)
After seeing second-row teammate Ollie Chessum go off early, Captain Maro had to shoulder even more responsibility at the Principality – and he duly delivered.
The Saracen scored a try, put in seven shots on defence and made 18-metres in the carry in a fine performance. Berine was his exceptional self against Italy, with 11-tackles made in an industrious outing.

Back row: Francois Cros (France), Ben Curry (England) and Matt Fagerson (Scotland)
18-tackles for Cros in a quintessential display from the Toulouse man, while Curry, MOTM in Cardiff, won two turnovers, made 11-tackles and 33-metres with the ball against Wales.
Matt Fag was influential for the Brave Hearts with one turnover, 15-tackles and 48-carry metres.
Halfbacks: Maxime Lucu and Romain Ntamack (both France)
The French halfback pairing fired in Paris, with Lucu again underlining his status as a superb alternative to Antoine Dupont with some great passing, kicking and defensive work – he finished with 12-tackles.
Ntamack played an integral part on both sides of the ball too, making 88-carry metres, one try assist and 11-tackles.
Midfield: Tommaso Menencello (Italy) and Tommy Freeman (England)
Menoncello was solid again for the Azzurri, carrying for 77-metres, 14-tackles and winning two turnovers in the midfield. Moved from the wing to centre for the weekend, Freeman looked solid in the role and contributed with 24-carry metres, a clean break and a turnover.
His 33rd-minute try also saw him become just the second player to score in all five rounds of a Six Nations campaign.
Back three: Louis Bielle-Biarrey (France), Tom Roebuck (England) and Thomas Ramos (France)
Bielle-Biarrey broke the competition’s try-scoring record against Scotland with his eighth touchdown of the campaign, while also racking up 81-metres with ball in hand.
Roebuck scored a try, made 43-metres with the ball and six carries across the gainline for England.
Ramos contributed to France’s success with 20-points courtesy of a try, three penalties and three conversions while also carrying for 34-metres.
