Yaw Penxe

The former Southern Kings man had arguably his finest outing in a Hollywoodbets Sharks jersey and was a danger every time he got his hands on the ball. Playing the full 80 on the right wing, Penxe scored a well-taken try a little before halftime, carried for 21-metres, made a clean break and put in two tackles.

Given the fierce competition for wing spots at the Shark Tank, what with Makazole Mapimpi, Eduan Keyter, Ethan Hooker all competing for starting berths, Penxe certainly enhanced his reputation on the west coast.

Jordan Hendrikse

Bagged himself a personal tally of 15-points courtesy of a nice try, two conversions and two penalties. He managed play well enough and looked good under the high ball, while also making four tackles, an offload and 14-carry metres. The pivot continues to improve week on week.

Jaden Hendrikse

Did well at flyhalf late on, while also assisting his brother’s try with a clever pop pass and making seven tackles. Arguably could have done more to prevent Jean-Luc du Plessis’s late game-winner, but ultimately it was another strong performance from the Bok No 9.

Manu Tshituka

Another busy afternoon for Manu, who finished the game with 19-carry metres, a clean break, a turnover and 14-tackles. Like others on this list, the blindsider continues to press his case for more starting minutes under John Plumtree; especially with the business end of the season in mind.

Jurenzo Julius

Definitely one for the future, but 20-year-old Julius acquitted himself well alongside Andre Esterhuizen in midfield, carrying for 51-metres, making one clean break and putting in five hits on defence.

He also beat four defenders and remains a massive threat with ball in hand; a season or two more under the tutelage of the likes of Lukhanyo Am, Esterhuizen and Francois Venter and there’s no reason why Julius can’t become international quality.
