“I can never be happy about Ghana not being at the Afcon, but it’s the reality we face. Hard lessons have been learned, and that includes me,” Okraku told africatopsports.com.

Despite Ghana’s absence from the tournament, Okraku confirmed he would still travel to Morocco to watch the competition.

“I’ll be in Morocco to witness the tournament and be part of the experience. Naturally, I would have preferred Ghana to be there too,” he added.

As a member of the Caf executive committee, Okraku views this situation as an opportunity to address the challenges facing Ghanaian football.

“I will use my position within Caf to help fix Ghana football,” he added.

With Ghana missing out on the Afcon, the focus will now shift to rebuilding the team, improving the country’s football structures, and ensuring successful qualification for future tournaments.

Okraku’s leadership will be under close scrutiny as the nation looks to restore its footballing standing.
