Belarus Premier League: Week 6 Preview

Week 6 Preview

The Belarus Premier League resumes on Friday with gameweek six. Check out our full betting preview below.

The favourites failed to impress last game week. BATE played out to a goalless draw against high-flying Torpedo Zhodino, while there were volatile scenes after full-time as champions Dinamo Brest succumbed to their second defeat of the league campaign, one more than the whole of last season.

Tempers were flared following a needless off the ball incident that warranted a second yellow card for defender Yevhen Khacheridi and the resulting penalty proved to be a game-deciding goal that was calmly converted. The Ukrainian defender has been released by the club after fighting with the referee and match officials in the tunnel.

There’s plenty of value in this week’s action. Let’s get to do it and try to pick some winners that will make you money.

Friday 24 April

Smolevichi 33/10
Draw 2/1
Dinamo Minsk 19/20
Smolevichi managed to claim a point in the 90th minute thanks to a penalty that was converted by Evgeni Barsukov but the hosts are still winless and are the league’s lowest-scoring team (2 goals) at this early stage. Dinamo Minsk kicked off action last week with a 2-0 win at home to Neman Grodno. The visitors will be looking to get their first win on the road and their fifth consecutive win over this opponent. They away win is tipped confidently.

Neman Grodno 12/10
Draw 21/10
Energetik-BGU 23/10
Neman Grodno have slumped after their victory in the opening week, going winless in three weeks and scoring just three times in the process. Following three consecutive wins, Energetik-BGU are now on the ropes with back-to-back defeats, failing to score against both Torpedo Zhodino and Gorodeya. The hosts have only scored on home soil this season. Take First Team to Score – Neman Grodno at 17/20.

Saturday 25 April

Slavia Mozyr 23/20
Draw 21/10
Minsk 24/10
Slavia Mozyr suffered a 2-1 loss to Isloch, bringing an end to their three-game unbeaten run in the league, while Minsk also dropped further down the log after being edged 1-0 at Rukh. The visitors are in trouble with three losses on the bounce and have failed to score a goal in seven 45-minute halves of football. My money is on Slavia Mozyr – First Team to Score at 17/20.

Gorodeya 5/1
Draw 51/20
BATE 6/10
Gorodeya have won three consecutive games by a 1-0 margin following a poor start to the season, while inconsistency at BATE continues as they dropped points for the third time, drawing goalless against a competitive Torpedo Zhodino team. The hosts are unbeaten against BATE in four meetings at the Stadyen Haradzeya. Go against the betting and have a punt on the home team at 5/1.

Dinamo Brest 1/1
Draw 23/10
Shakhter 26/10
Dinamo Brest were beaten for the second time this campaign after finishing the match with nine men. Shakhter come into this encounter winless in four league games, however, the hosts have not beaten Shakhter in nine league games. These sides met three weeks ago in cup competition which saw Brest claim a 2-0 win. Go against the betting again and back the visitors at 24/10.

Sunday 26 April

Slutsk 15/20
Draw 24/10
Belshina 36/10
Slutsk sit atop the standings with 10 points at this early stage. They have impressed and only suffered a single defeat. Belshina, on the other hand, sit rock bottom and have yet to win a league game. This clash is straight forward taking Slutsk to claim maximum points.

Torpedo Zhodino 8/10
Draw 22/10
Rukh 38/10
Torpedo Zhodino continued to add impressive results, earning a draw at BATE. The hosts have 10 points from five games and will be keen to push on. Following three weeks of no goals and points, Rukh claimed an important 1-0 win over Minsk last time out. The home team is tipped confidently.

Isloch 19/20
Draw 43/20
Vitebsk 29/10
Both sides come off valuable wins that saw them move up the ranks. Surprisingly, this is Isloch’s sixth league game and including this encounter, five of them have been played on home soil. Vitebsk are joint with leaders Slutsk, despite scoring just four goals in the five games. Under 2.5 Goals should be considered a banker at 5/10 in this matchup.

TREBLE TIPPED @ 5/1
Dinamo Minsk Win 19/20
Slutsk Win 15/20
Torpedo Zhodino Win 8/10
