Saturday 16 April

6/10 Freiburg | Draw 3/1 | Bochum 4/1 (15:30)

Freiburg are hot on the heels of RB Leipzig, chasing down their fourth-placed Bundesliga slot which guarantees qualification to the UEFA Champions League. The Red Bulls face a stern test away at Bayer Leverkusen which could leave the door ajar for Freiburg to capitalize. Bochum won the previous tie 2-1 in a comeback victory on home soil, however, in current form my money is firmly on Freiburg to secure maximum points.

5/10 Borussia Dortmund | Draw 37/10 | Wolfsburg 46/10 (15:30)

Borussia Dortmund are short-priced favourites to get the job done at Signal-Iduna-Park after Julian Brandt’s double against Stuttgart saw the Yellow and Black return to winning ways. Following three straight losses against Freiburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg in the Bundesliga. Wolfsburg collected the much-needed three points against Arminia Bielefeld last weekend but are still a shadow of the team that qualified for the UEFA Champions League with Wout Weghorst leading the line. Add the home win to all your multiples.

11/10 Augsburg | Draw 47/20 | Hertha Berlin 26/10 (15:30)

Augsburg will be happy to return to their own stomping grounds – the WWK Arena. On home soil, Augsburg pulled off wins over Wolfsburg and Mainz before being edged 1-0 at the Allianz Arena to defending-champions Bayern Munich last Saturday. It is sinks or swim for Hertha Berlin as the visitors are the best bet to be relegated to 2.

Bundesliga alongside Greuther Furth if results don’t improve quickly over the next six matches. With 9 defeats in their last 12 league games, I’m backing Hertha Berlin to taste defeat, more than I am confident Augsburg clinch victory, at 11/10.

1/1 Mainz | Draw 24/10 | Stuttgart 26/10 (15:30)

Mainz return home after a three-game road trip which yielded just a single point at Borussia Park against Monchengladbach, and back-to-back defeats to Augsburg and Cologne have seen the Carnival Club lose ground in the race to qualify for UEFA Europa League football.

Stuttgart suffered their 14th defeat in the league after 29 matches against Borussia Dortmund last Friday, and now find themselves precariously hovering above the relegation zone. The visitors are aiming for their fourth straight win over Mainz, but my play includes the draw in the Double Chance market – I can’t see Stuttgart losing this one at 7/10.

11/10 Borussia Monchengladbach | Draw 26/10 | Cologne 23/10 (15:30)

Borussia Monchengladbach and Cologne close out Saturday’s action. Alexandre Plea and Breel Embolo have been in fine form which has helped the Billy Goats come into the clash unbeaten in four games, including three wins over Hertha Berlin, Bochum and Greuther Furth.

Cologne will be full of confidence after goals by Ellyes Skhiri, Dejan Ljubicic, and Luca Kilian made the home support at the RheinEnergieStadion erupt with joy, securing a 3-2 victory after finding themselves two goals down in the 55th-minute. Given Borussia Monchengladbach’s inconsistency this season, coupled with Cologne winning the previous meeting 4-1, I’m expecting a cagey affair with both sides settling for a share of the spoils.

Sunday 17 April

12/1 Arminia Bielefeld | Draw 13/2 | Bayern Munich 1/6 (15:30)

Bayern Munich are nine points clear at the summit of the Bundesliga, coming off a crucial UEFA Champions League midweek encounter with Villarreal, and have the much-anticipated clash with Borussia Dortmund scheduled for next week.

But first, a trip to Arminia Bielefeld – who in current form are the worst team in the division, losing five of their last six league games, currently in the fight against relegation. Away To Score In Both Halves (Yes) is my play at 11/20 odds.

5/4 Union Berlin | Draw 47/20 | Eintracht Frankfurt 43/20 (17:30)

The Iron Ones’, Union Berlin, will be aiming to down the Eagles, Eintracht Frankfurt, when both sides meet for their bi-annual football spectacle. Games between these opponents have produced 22 goals, in the previous five encounters with Frankfurt claiming victory on three occasions.

However, leading up to the match, Union Berlin look stronger with back-to-back wins over Cologne and Hertha Berlin. Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt are winless in three matches, having scored just once in the same period. Both Teams To Score (Yes) is the bet at 7/10.

2/7 Hoffenheim | Draw 48/10 | Greuther Furth 8/1 (17:30)

Hoffenheim threw away nine points in defeats to Hertha Berlin, Bochum and RB Leipzig after their most impressive performance of the season – holding champions Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at the PreZero Arena. Greuther Furth will serve as the perfect opportunity for Hoffenheim to get back to winning ways, seeing as the bottom-dwellers are certain for the drop into 2.

Bundesliga and come into the clash winless in seven matches. In the last three meetings, 25 goals have been scored between these sides – including a 6-3 humdinger last time out. Over 3.5 Goals is well worth a punt at 12/10.

7/4 Bayer Leverkusen | Draw 5/2 | RB Leipzig 29/20 (19:30)

Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig meet at the Bay Arena in the headline clash of the round. Atalanta knocked Bayer Leverkusen out of the UEFA Europa League and RB Leipzig had to contend with them in midweek action, giving Leverkusen the advantage of being well-rested.

The hosts claimed back-to-back wins over Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin but will be disappointed to share the spoils in a goalless draw at Bochum last time out. RB Leipzig have won five of their last six matches on their travels, only failing in a 3-2 defeat away at Bayern Munich. Both Teams To Score (Yes) is the best bet of this weekend’s action at 5/10.

QUAD @ 15/2

Borussia Dortmund Win 5/10
Hoffenheim/Greuther Furth Over 3.5 Goals 12/10
Union Berlin/Eintracht Frankfurt BTTS (Yes) 7/10
Bayer Leverkusen/RB Leipzig BTTS (Yes) 5/10
