And because Bayern Munich are on a slump which leaves us throwing our bet slips in the trash, I would advise leaving them out this weekend when they travel to Augsburg, but the Revierderby known as ‘the mother of all derbies’ for a reason, is bound to produce goals! Check out all nine predictions, including a 6/1 treble.

NEWS: Robert Lewandowski suffers on Champions League return to Bayern Munich

Friday 16 September

7/10 Mainz | Draw 3/1 | Hertha Berlin 38/10 (20:30)

Mainz was embroiled in a rather tough back-and-forth fixture against Hoffenheim until the 41st minute when defender Alexander Hack received a red card. Goals poured in after the break seeing the O5ers lose 4-1, picking up their second loss of the season.

I’m expecting another banana skin type fixture when Hertha travels to face matchday seven’s opposition after another hard-fought 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen. Hertha always seemed to be switched on, capitalizing on a host of mistakes in their last encounter, so while the odds may favour Mainz, I believe Both Teams to Score (Yes) at 15/20 can take my money on this one.

Saturday 17 September

29/20 Stuttgart | Draw 5/2 | Eintracht Frankfurt 18/10 (15:30)

Stuttgart picked up their third straight draw, their fifth of the season, but when you consider the 2-2 result was against Bayern Munich, it makes the outcome positive.

Eintracht Frankfurt, on the other hand, have struggled to rotate their squad with the Champions League in full swing, making just three changes to the starting XI with the same to follow over the coming weeks. Look for fresh legs in the starting line-up before this encounter takes place, if not, back the Home Draw No Bet at 7/10.

14/1 Augsburg | Draw 15/2 | Bayern Munich 1/6 (15:30)

After drawing three successive Bundesliga fixtures, Bayern Munich is now playing catch-up in the title race. Julian Nagelsmann made six changes to the team that won their opening Champions League encounter against Inter Milan, so the priority is quite evident, but the pressure in the league will start to build.

Augsburg, however, does not have the bite that Union Berlin has on home soil, neither do they have the quality of Monchengladbach or Stuttgart.

PREVIEW: The Hollywoodbets Super League’s two-week break has come and gone

Bayern on the Matchbet Under 2.5 goals at 44/10, considering major changes again after facing Barcelona in the midweek matchup.

13/20 Bayer Leverkusen | Draw 33/10 | Werder Bremen 36/10 (15:30)

With just one win from five fixtures, Bayer Leverkusen was staving off talk of a crisis, but a 2-2 draw against Hertha in the capital has seen the murmurs subside – for now.

Leverkusen was prone to many mistakes last time out and was punished for it, but Werder Bremen is not privy to the quality of Leverkusen’s last opponent, so back the home win.

4/10 Dortmund | Draw 44/10 | Schalke 6/10 (15:30)

Dortmund huffed and puffed but never really created any decent chances in the first 45 minutes against RB Leipzig, and could not convert any of their four shots on target the entire fixture.

After their second defeat of the season, Dortmund sit two points adrift first place. While you may be enticed to take the home team at 4/10, Schalke have secured their first win of the season before the Revierderby known as ‘the mother of all derbies’ for a reason.

The last four of five of these meetings have ended in Over 2.5 Goals, so that is the play. Get on at 9/20.

2/1 Monchengladbach | Draw 26/10 | RB Leipzig 5/4 (18:30)

Monchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer proved he was a hard man to beat in matchweek four against Bayern Munich and his form rolled over into the 0-0 draw with Freiburg last time out.

To say it would have been a difficult week at Die Roten Bullen would be an understatement, as the former Dortmund head coach was drafted in on short notice to face his former team. However, in a turn of fortune, Leipzig put three goals past their last test surely walking into this encounter with chests out.

I’m backing the away team on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 7/20.

Sunday 18 September

1/1 Union Berlin | Draw 51/20 | Wolfsburg 26/10 (15:30)

Despite losing their opening round Europa League fixture, an away win in the Bundesliga sees Union Berlin sit a point clear in first place. At home, they have yet to lose but have also struggled to keep a clean sheet.

Wolfsburg picked up their first victory of the season, but I cannot see any other result than a home victory, and if you seek out value, add Both Teams to Score (Yes) at 3/1.

22/10 Bochum | Draw 26/10 | Cologne 12/10 (17:30)

Not only are Bochum without a win when they face Cologne at home, but it has also been six straight defeats, scoring just six goals.

Cologne could not have asked for a better side to face in hopes of bouncing back after their 1-0 loss to current log leaders Union Berlin.

While the Billy Goats are only seeking out their second win of the season, they have managed 10 goals.

I believe the away team walks away victorious here.

12/10 Hoffenheim | Draw 11/4 | Freiburg 2/1 (19:30)

Hoffenheim has responded well after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund with a 4-1 win over Mainz.

Die Kraichgauer gets to defend their three-match unbeaten home run against a slightly demoralized Freiburg. The Breisgau Brazilians dropped from first on the Bundesliga table to second after their 0-0 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach.

While Hoffenheim only took the game to Mainz with their one-man advantage, they did look the more menacing side from the get-go. Back the home team.

TREBLE @ 6/1

Bayer Leverkusen Win 13/20

Union Berlin Win 1/1

Cologne Win 12/10
