Confirmed & leaked kits for the new season – Who has the best?

As we approach the end of the current season. New kits are doing the rounds on social media.

Before the start of any football season, teams always unveil their new kits. The kit debate will then automatically start on which team has the best design.

Some teams have similar designs due to having the same kit guide and some teams opt for unique style while others go for vintage and come up with something similar to a kit they had in the 80s or 90s.

There are some teams that have publicly confirmed their new kits for the 2022/23 season and others have just leaked but these leaks often turn out to be true.

Manchester United

Man United haven’t had the best of seasons. They were eliminated pretty early on from the Champions League and have never really been in contention to finish in the top four, despite Arsenal’s and Tottenham’s best efforts to open the door for the Red Devils. It’ll likely take more than this rather forgettable home shirt to take fans’ minds off of the car crash that was 2021/2022.

Liverpool

Liverpool have reached every cup final possible this season and they are in the running for the league as they are one point behind UEFA Champions League Semi-finalist Manchester City.

Their kit for next season though is not as flashy as one would expect. Liverpool opted for a plain simple red kit. It’s truly a strange decision to produce a kit without a collar. Just look at Manchester City’s collarless 2021/2022 kit, it’s not very flattering and doesn’t really make it stand out from the crowd at all. This one will be largely forgettable.

Chelsea

Chelsea are known for having plain simple kits or ugly kits if you want to be harsh. Again, the Londoners kept their consistency and came with simple blue kit.

The third kit reminds me of that brown number Barcelona wore when Ronaldinho scored that Champions League goal in 04/05. Happy memories for Chelsea, however, as they knocked the Catalans out of the competition that season.

Arsenal

In recent years, Arsenal have prioritised fashion and their designs have always been on point.

Arsenal have produced some iconic kits and the trend continues this time around. Just look at how a bit of detail around can make a kit really pop. Take notes, Liverpool and Nike.

Tottenham

Yup. It’s a Tottenham kit.

Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich won their 10th consecutive league title when beating arch-rivals Borrusia Dortmund. They will be looking for number 11 on the bounce in fine style with a very beautiful red and white kit.

Atletico Madrid

This is a bit of a weird choice but I’m all for it! It kind of takes the 2020/2021 Inter Milan kit in better direction!

Barcelona

Nike and Barcelona have made a few strange decisions over the last few years when it comes to the home kit. The checkerboard design from 2019/2020, and even this season’s disaster of a kit come to mind. This number, however, just doesn’t do it for me.

Real Madrid

The home kit is quite nice, however, these over-designed away and third kits leave a bit to be desired. There’s a reason the most-loved and memorable kits of the last few years have been simple designs.

Inter Milan

It’s vertical blue and black stripes. It’s an Inter kit!

PSG

This is quite a nice little number, actually. The sponsor’s logo breaks up the vertical striped element down the centre of the kit well and the colours play really well together.
