A treble as in 2013 is possible for Bayern – with the Bavarians all but in the last eight of the Champions League which is to resume in August – while Leverkusen are aiming to win their first trophy since they last won the DFB-Pokal in the 1992/93 season.

Bayer Leverkusen will undoubtedly be disappointed to have missed out on Champions League qualification so narrowly after a good campaign. Peter Bosz’s side had to settle for a Europa League spot after finishing fifth in the Bundesliga, just two points behind Borussia Monchengladbach.
Leverkusen will be desperate to end the season on a high or it could get even worse from here with talisman Kai Havertz strongly linked with some of Europe’s biggest names. Facing Bayern Munich is daunting for every German club, but Die Werkself will certainly fancy their chances as they’ve beaten the Bavarians twice in the last three meetings. Bayern will need to be wary of the attacking threat of Havertz, Kevin Volland and Leon Bailey.

After claiming their eighth successive Bundesliga title this season, Bayern Munich will now be looking to secure their 20th DFB-Pokal cup. The Bavarians won this competition last season when they thrashed RB Leipzig 3-0 at Berlin’s Olympiastadion.
Hans-Dieter Flick’s side will be confident of adding to their amazing trophy cabinet as they are in excellent form – unbeaten in 25 competitive matches with 24 wins, including 16 in a row. Robert Lewandowski claimed his third successive Bundesliga top scorer’s prize after netting 34 goals and he’ll be hoping to fire his team to more silverware.

Bayern are searching for their 20th DFB-Pokal, while Leverkusen are looking to win the cup for only the second time. The Bavarians are heavy favourites to win and it’s easy to see why. They have star-studded squad with goals in them from all over the pitch. I’m going for Bayern to Win & Both Teams to Score at 12/10 – neither side has won while keeping a clean sheet in seven meetings.
