EPL: Week 17 Value Treble

EPL: Gameweek 17 value treble

Wolves, West Ham and Arsenal all feature in our 7.66/1 weekend value treble!

We went agonisingly close with last week’s 10/1 treble, with West Ham’s inability to hold on to their two-goal lead ultimately putting us out after Liverpool beat Bournemouth while the under 2.5 total goals on the Cardiff vs Southampton game arrived comfortably too.

Let’s see if we can do a bit better this week:

Wolves 9/10 | Draw 26/10 | Bournemouth 31/10
We open things up this week as Bournemouth head to the West Midlands to face a Wolves outfit who have rediscovered their bite in recent weeks. Bournemouth, by contrast, have battled lately after a flying start to the season. Wolves’ recent renaissance started two weeks ago as they delivered a shock 2-1 defeat to Chelsea which they followed up with a dramatic late win against Newcastle at St. James’ Park this past Monday. Bournemouth, meanwhile, have only managed a single win in their last five Premier League games. They could be without the talismanic Callum Wilson again this weekend. He’ll likely face a late fitness test, but if unavailable his absence will be keenly felt by the Cherries who just don’t carry as much of an attacking threat without the England international. Wolves are pretty much at full strength and will likely go with the same team that got the job done up. I really like the look of the Wolves outfit. Bournemouth are well out of form at the moment and are tipped to go down at the Molineux on Saturday. Get on the home side at 9/10.

Fulham 37/20 | Draw 26/10 | West Ham 14/10
We have an all-London affair up next as West Ham make the short trip to Craven Cottage to face rock-bottom Fulham. Manuel Pellegrini’s men have just started to hit their straps, winning three Premier League games on the spin and scoring nine goals in the process. Fulham, meanwhile, are still conceding goals at an alarming rate. They were taken apart pretty easily last weekend by Manchester United who ran out 4-1 winners at Old Trafford. You really do struggle to see the worst defence in the league dealing effectively with West Ham who have clicked brilliantly in the final third in recent matches. Robert Snodgrass is back to his best while Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez are both finding the net with regularity in the absence of Marko Arnautovic. Felipe Anderson has been the real catalyst for me, though. Not since Dimitri Payet have the hammers had a genuinely world-class attacking talent. You simply can’t look past West Ham here. They’re well into their stride now and should be able to claim the three points.

Southampton 28/10 | Draw 29/10 | Arsenal 9/10
I can’t believe that you can get Arsenal at a shade under even money against a team with one of the worst home records in the league. Southampton have been pretty poor at St. Mary’s this season. Granted, they’ve managed five draws in seven matches with two losses, but they’ve managed to capitulate on both occasions the big boys have come down to the south coast. Chelsea rolled them 3-0, barely breaking a sweat a few weeks before the Saints blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with a Manchester United outfit who were woefully out of form at the time. You simply don’t see them posing any real threat to Arsenal’s incredible 22-game unbeaten run. The Gunners did wobble just a bit at home against a determined Huddersfield outfit last weekend, but I expect Unai Emery to get it right from the outset this week. Although I’m tempted to tip the Gunners on the (-1) handicap, I’m more than happy with the value available on the straight win at 9/10.

Treble @ 7.66/1
Wolves to win @ 9/10
West Ham to win @ 14/10
Arsenal to win @ 9/10
