English Premier League: 27-29 June Preview

Gameweek 3 Preview

With much of the focus on the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend involving the Manchester powerhouses – United and City – and London giants Chelsea and Arsenal, we take a look at the two Premier League fixtures taking place this weekend, as well as the Monday night game to make it a tasty 9/1 treble for our soccer punters.

Saturday 27 June

Aston Villa 38/10
Draw 26/10
Wolves 15/20
(13:30)
European hopefuls Wolves travel to Villa Park on Saturday to face relegation-threatened Aston Villa. Dean Smith’s side are on a seven-game winless run – five losses and two draws – in the Premier League, while Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are flying at the moment, winning four of their last five league games and three of their last four on the road. Victory for Wolves would see them overtake Manchester United on the table with the Red Devils being in FA Cup action. I’m backing the visitors to come away with maximum points.

Sunday 28 June

Watford 29/20
Draw 23/10
Southampton 39/20
(17:30)
Watford will be delighted to return to Vicarage Road as they look to snap a three-match winless run. Nigel’s Pearson’s men lost 1-0 at Burnley last time out, which was their third consecutive defeat on the road. At home though, the Hornets have been buzzing. I felt they were the better side in their 1-1 draw with Leicester and prior to that, stunned Liverpool with a 3-0 victory. Southampton have lost three of their last four games in the league, therefore my money will be on the home win.

Monday 29 June

Crystal Palace 13/10
Draw 43/20
Burnley 24/10
(21:00)
Crystal Palace were in fine form before their heavy 4-0 loss away to Liverpool. The Eagles had won four on the bounce without conceding a goal, beating Newcastle (H), Brighton (A), Watford (H) and Bournemouth (A). Roy Hodgson’s men will be looking to return to winning ways while opening a three-point lead over Burnley. Palace have won each of their last four meetings against the Clarets and I fancy them to come out on top once again.

TREBLE @ 9/1
Wolves Win 15/20
Watford Win 29/20
Crystal Palace Win 13/10
