The Bees got the better of City at the Etihad in November in what was the only time Pep Guardiola’s side have been beaten at home in any competition this season, and know they need all three points here to keep their slim European hopes alive.

Should Aston Villa and Tottenham both lose and Brentford pick up a shock victory, it will be the Bees qualify for the Europa Conference League next season.

Carol Tshabalala, Hollywoodbets’ Ambassador and Mzansi’s First Lady of Sports, says there’s no reason the Bees cannot stun Guardiola’s men at home.

“No reason why they cannot repeat that feat, especially now when Brentford are on such a great trajectory. Fantastic victory last weekend of course over Tottenham Hotspur.”

“We’ve got a Man City side that have wrapped up the Premiership – they are the champions, and they seem to have kind of dropped the ball because since being crowned we’ve seen that draw with Brighton and Hove Albion but Man City are still very desperate to return to winning ways and get the momentum going for the FA Cup final as well as the champions league final,” said Carol.

For City, the focus is very much on the FA Cup and Champions League finals to come, though they will want to go into those having extended their unbeaten run, which now stands at 25 matches.

Still, Simply Carol reckons the Gtech Community Stadium is a tough place visit these days.

“I still believe that coming to West London, coming to the home of the Bees will prove a bit of a tall order at this moment in time. It’s the final match of the season and it couldn’t be a better one for the Bees, they couldn’t get better foes because this is a fixture that evokes memories of earlier on in the season and the scalp that they won, of course away from home that 2-1 victory for Brentford.

“My prediction will be a victory for Brentford to end what really has been a fantastic season on a high,” she added.
