The Premier League returned last weekend with an absolute cracking round of fixtures!

Now, not to be outdone of course, week 10 offers up its own set of sensualizing fixtures and a headliner to rival most when high-flying Arsenal welcome the lower-flying Reds to the Emirates. But I’ll cover that in the feature – this is how I see the games unfolding and I think I’ve found a sneaky little treble at excellent odds!

Saturday 8 October

8/10 Newcastle | Draw 11/4 | Brentford 32/10 (16:00)

I expected a response from Brentford last time out, they were poor against Arsenal before their clash at the Vitality Stadium and just consolidated my disappointment. They drew 0-0 with a rather limp Bournemouth and so its hard to see a real response here.

I’ve loved the way Newcastle have played this season; they haven’t always been able to come away with all three points – but I think they might have a bit of a run being put together. Add the home win to everything.

47/20 Bournemouth | Draw 51/20 | Leicester City 11/10 (16:00)

Leicester was brilliant on Monday night. They looked as close to the dangerous Leicester we had come to know that I have seen all season. They can still hurt teams when they look to be aggressive and quick on the counter!

Bournemouth were flat against Brentford, they defended well but offered nothing upfront. I think Leicester win this.

1/7 Manchester City | Draw 15/2 | Southampton 16/1 (16:00)

City are the best team in England, period. Their squad isn’t matched by anyone else in the league and their ability to put teams to the sword is really where the issues lie. Southampton are difficult to read now and their inconsistencies in front of goal will cause them issues here.

City to win and over 3.5 goals at 17/20 is the tip.

4/10 Chelsea | Draw 38/10 | Wolves 7/1 (16:00)

It’s difficult to look at the 4/10 available on Chelsea and think this is a good idea. They haven’t looked good at all in recent weeks – and for the record, that has nothing to do with the manager.

Wolves have been horrible though; their manager is likely on his last legs now and their players just haven’t played at a level that is acceptable for the Premier League. They cannot score for jam, and with each passing week their belief seems to be slowly seeping away. One wonders though whether the Diego Costa narrative has a role in this one?

Back the home team.

39/20 Brighton | Draw 24/10 | Tottenham 14/10 (18:30)

There was talk before the Liverpool game that new manager Roberto De Zerbi might not have the gall to employ his attacking mindset at Anfield. Well, Brighton was incredible, and they went forward with a belief that is absolutely pursuant to their recent performances.

Spurs have shown that they do not need to play well to win football games…albeit Arsenal also proved what could happen if you aren’t at your level best. You could make a case for either team here to be fair – but both teams scoring seems most plausible. Get on at 7/10.

Sunday 9 October

15/20 West Ham | Draw 29/10 | Fulham 34/10 (15:00)

West Ham haven’t exactly ripped up trees so far this season, but in truth their performances probably have deserved a little more. Fulham started incredibly well and put that pent up confidence to good work – yes, they’ve lost a couple games recently, but I wouldn’t read into them too much. Both teams scoring at 15/20 seems to the smart play here.

11/10 Crystal Palace | Draw 51/20 | Leeds 24/10 (15:00)

Palace are seemingly becoming more and more a team difficult to break down and happy to make life uncomfortable for their opponents. It’s not always going to pretty, but it is effective Premier League football.

Leeds will play with their instinctive energy and intensity, but I don’t fancy them away from home against a Palace side unlucky not to have come away with more from clashes with some serious opposition. Get on the home win at a glorious price.

31/20 Arsenal | Draw 26/10 | Liverpool 33/20 (17:30)

Please see featured game

28/10 Everton | Draw 26/10 | Manchester United 19/20 (20:00)

I can see why Everton are in a bit of a precarious situation this season. They have become draw merchants who blow hot and cold and struggle to maintain their intensity for any serious amount of time. They are quite frankly their own worst enemy…

United will want to respond here after their defeat to Manchester City in the derby. I think United deserved to lose, but they made it so easy for City and as a result paid the ultimate price. Back them to come good here.

Monday 10 October

9/4 Nottingham Forest | Draw 24/10 | Aston Villa 12/10 (21:00)

This is a tricky game to call, and I’ll tell you why. Aston Villa looked to almost hold on against Leeds…they struggled to cope with their direct approach in the final third and only really had a foothold in the game from midfield.

Forest was well beaten on Monday night and surely, they look for a reaction. I still maintain they are a good team and challenge Villa all the way here. They’ve never met in the league, but I expect an open championship sort of game in terms of goals scored! Get on both teams scoring at 8/10.

TREBLE @ 8/1

Newcastle Win 8/10

Crystal Palace Win 11/10

Arsenal Win 31/20
