Find out more about Raheem Sterling ahead of Manchester City’s clash against Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City take on Tottenham on Saturday evening and last season’s Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year and the PFA Young Player of the Year looks unstoppable at present. After scoring a brilliant hat-trick in City’s opening game of the 2019-20 season against West Ham, the Englishman will be hungry to add to that tally.
The Citizens bagged an amazing treble last season and Sterling certainly had a helping hand in that. Sterling smashed 25 goals in all competitions last season – his highest so far – and with three to his name already, he will be eager to better that record.
The 24-year-old has also become an integral part of the England set-up and at the tender age of 24, his best is still yet to come. He is going from strength-strength and under manager Pep Guardiola, he will only get better.
Despite all the criticism he has received worldwide, especially after his 49£ move switch from Liverpool to Manchester, he has still managed to shut it all out and play his best football.
Tottenham know exactly what he is capable and will most likely be marked from the first whistle. However, I’m sure there have been many tacticians that have tried playing him out the game but Sterling is just meant to shine!
