German Bundesliga: GW 29 Preview

Augsburg players celebrate

With just six rounds of German Bundesliga football remaining, Bayern Munich look to have put a massive dent in Dortmund’s title-hopes with a 1-0 win over BVB at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday evening. Let’s find out what’s on the menu for gameweek 29!

Friday 29 May

Freiburg 36/10
Draw 31/10
Bayer Leverkusen 7/10

Freiburg have won one, drawn three and lost three of their last seven league appearances, winning two and losing two of their last four home league games but have conceded in 13 of their last 14 league encounters.

Bayer Leverkusen were surprisingly beaten 4-1 at home by Wolfsburg on Tuesday but they have won five, drawn one and lost one of their last seven away league fixtures, while their last 11 league matches has seen Over 2.5 Goals in nine of them. Draw/Away + Over 2.5 Goals at 17/20 looks the right play.
Saturday 30 May

Hertha Berlin 9/10
Draw 11/4
Augsburg 11/4

Hertha Berlin have won two and drawn one of their three league outings under their new manager Bruno Labbadia, while they drew 2-2 at third-placed RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Augsburg have won one of their last eight league appearances but away from home they have won one and lost five of their last six away league games. Hertha Berlin to win at 9/10 is my call.

Mainz 7/4
Draw 26/10
Hoffenheim 27/20

Mainz have won one, drawn four and lost two of their last seven league fixtures, while their last eight home league encounters have seen one win, two draws, and five defeats.

Hoffenheim beat Koln 3-1 at home on Wednesday to improve to one win, three draws and four defeats from their last eight league matches, while they have drawn three and lost one of their last four away from home. Mainz to score Over 1.5 Goals at 21/20, is my shout.

Schalke 29/20
Draw 23/10
Werder Bremen 37/20

Schalke have drawn four and lost six of their last 10 league outings, while at home, they have drawn two and lost two of their last four.

Werder Bremen have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three league appearances, keeping clean sheets in the last two but they remain six points from safety in the relegation battle. Both Teams to Score/No at even money looks the right call.

Wolfsburg 19/20
Draw 26/10
Eintracht Frankfurt 26/10

Wolfsburg have won five, drawn three and lost one of their last nine league fixtures, thrashing Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 away on Tuesday.

Eintracht Frankfurt have won one, drawn two and lost five of their last eight league games losing their last three away from home, while their last seven league matches has seen a staggering 33 goals scored. Wolfsburg to win at 19/20 looks well worth a punt.

Bayern Munich 1/12
Draw 10/1
Fortuna Dusseldorf 23/1

Bayern Munich have won 13 and drawn one of their last 14 league outings, scoring at least two goals in six of their last seven home league fixtures.

Fortuna Dusseldorf have won two, drawn six and lost one of their last nine league appearances, while winning one and drawing three of their last four away from home.

Bayern should win but will they keep a clean sheet? After beating Borussia Dortmund 1-0 away in midweek, I am hoping for complacency, so Bayern to Win and Both Teams to Score at 12/10 is my bet.

Sunday 31 May

Monchengladbach 5/10
Draw 33/10
Union Berlin 5/1

Borussia M’GB are fourth and have won three, drawn one and lost two of their last six league fixtures, while in their last 13 home league games, Over 2.5 Goals has landed 11 times.

Union Berlin have drawn two and lost three of their last five league encounters and are sliding into the relegation zone, (25/1 to go down), while they have won two and lost five of their last seven away league matches. The Borussians look a top bet at 5/10! One for the multiples!

Paderborn 7/1
Draw 17/4
Dortmund 7/20

Paderborn have drawn their last three league outings but remain eight points from safety, while they have scored in 13 of their last 14 home league appearances.

Borussia Dortmund saw their league hopes almost certainly ended when they lost 1-0 at home to Bayern Munich on Tuesday, but they have won four and lost one of their last five away league games. Both Teams to Score + Over 2.5 Goals at 9/10 is the right play.

Cologne 17/4
Draw 7/4
Leipzig 11/20

Koln have won five, drawn three and lost one of their last nine home league encounters, while their last 11 league matches over 2.5 goals has landed in each of them.

RB Leipzig are third but have won three and drawn six of their last nine league outings, while away from home, they have won three and drawn two of their last fix fixtures – keeping clean sheets in all five. RB Leipzig to Score in Both Halves at even money looks the call.
