Hollywoodbets have already made a valuable contribution to football in the region after acting as Associate Sponsors for the Men’s COSAFA Cup and COSAFA Women’s Championship last year.

Both competitions were a roaring success and so they have returned in 2020 to renew their commitment to the development of football in Southern Africa. “COSAFA is delighted by Hollywoodbets’ decision to continue the relationship that started in 2019, and particularly their support for the women’s game,” COSAFA President Dr Phillip Chiyangwa says.

“All too few corporates are presently involved with women’s football, despite the evolution over the past few years and the great strides made by the teams across the COSAFA Region. We encourage other corporates to follow suit. Thank-you Hollywoodbets for your support.”

For Hollywoodbets, the tournaments provide an excellent opportunity to give back to the game in a region brimming with talent and potential. “Hollywoodbets is committed to supporting sport, specifically soccer and its development on the African continent,” said Sandisiwe Bhengu, Hollywoodbets Operations Executive.

“In 2019, we were Affiliate Sponsors for the women’s senior competition, and this year we are honoured to be the newly-appointed Presenting Rights Sponsor of the COSAFA Women’s Championship, and for the opportunity to participate in the recognition and empowerment of women in sport.

“We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with COSAFA, and future growth within the soccer industry.”

The 2020 COSAFA Women’s Championship Powered by Hollywoodbets will take place from November 3-14, with South Africa set to defend the title they have won for the last three years.

The 2020 COSAFA Men’s Under-20 Championship will be staged from December 3-13 and also acts as a zonal qualifier for the 2021 CAF Under-20 Cup of Nations in Morocco, where the two finalists in Nelson Mandela Bay will earn a place at the continental showpiece competition.
