After leading Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies to a third successive Hollywoodbets Super League title, Coach Jerry ‘Kappa’ Tshabalala believes his squad is fully motivated to excel in the 2023 season.
With most, if not all, Hollywoodbets Super League teams back in full pre-season training ahead of the 2023 campaign, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies coach Jerry ‘Kappa’ Tshabalala has been impressed by the attitude of his players returning to camp.
Banyana Ba Style, as they are famously known, clinched a third consecutive Hollywoodbets Super League title last season, winning 27 out of 30 games, scoring 126 goals along the way.
The Brazilians also reached the finals of the COSAFA Qualifiers and the CAF Women’s Champions League. After the team’s first week of training, Tshabalala expressed his delight at the attitude shown by his players.
“Most of the players came back to camp in top shape as they adhered to the training program they received during the break. Their sharpness and fitness in the first week of training excite me ahead of the new campaign. It shows their professionalism and willingness to align with the team’s ethos of commencing every new season with renewed hunger and optimism,” he said, speaking to Mamelodi Sundowns’ internal media.

The 2022 Hollywoodbets coach of the season also mentioned they are gunning for every competition they participate in this season.
“Last season, we learned lots of lessons across the three competitions, and there are certain aspects of our game we need to improve upon. Complacency is something we are working hard to eliminate because we need to approach each game with renewed zeal to do better than the last game.”
