Liverpool have taken the 2019/20 season by storm, and as it stands, they remain unbeaten after 23 league games with 22 wins. Manchester City have been second best with the Reds stretching their lead at the summit to 16 points with a game in hand!

Grom goalkeeper to the front three, Liverpool’s squad has only gone from strength to strength and it’s down to one man, and one man only, Jurgen Klopp. The German has transformed this team into a title-winning side with a hunger for silverware. At the rate Klopp’s Liverpool are going, they look all set to snatch every Premier League record there is.
The highest points tally for an English Premier League champion is 100 points set by Manchester City in the 2017/18 season. The super Reds are well on their way to smash that record and set a new record for not only the English Premier League but for the top five leagues.

Liverpool are massive favourites to win their first-ever Premier League title, while they are still in the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup. Should they bag all three, they will complete the ultimate treble – a feat achieved by Manchester United in 1998/99.
The Reds are firing on all cylinders and there is talk of them becoming the second team after Arsenal’s Invincibles to remain unbeaten for the season. In this day and age, remaining unbeaten for an entire season would be more impressive knowing how teams approach the game. Not to take away anything from the Gunners’ unbeaten season, but most teams played to win, leaving the weaker sides with spaces to exploit all over the pitch.
Is this Liverpool side one of the greatest teams ever known? Well only time will tell but I’m pretty sure there are enough rival supporters out there still hoping the Reds bottle it.
