Italian Serie A: Gameweek 11 Preview

After 10 rounds of football, Juventus find themselves in an unfamiliar fifth place, while AC Milan are gunning for the Scudetto as they remain five points clear of the next best team which happen to be city-rivals Inter Milan. There are a couple of interesting contests this weekend, let’s get to it.

Friday 11 December

Sassuolo 13/20

Draw 32/10

Benevento 37/10

Sassuolo played out of their socks last time out to earn a hard-fought goalless draw at Roma. Benevento have managed just three wins from 10 matches and that doesn’t look likely to improve on Friday night. The hosts have suffered just one defeat this season and will be looking to get a victory under their belt following a winless run of two matches. Back Sassuolo for the win.

Saturday 12 December

Crotone 16/10

Draw 24/10

Spezia 33/20

Crotone remains without a win at the foot of the table with eight losses from 10 games, scoring only six goals and conceding eight times. Spezia have not been much better with just two victories from 10 matches. I’m expecting this clash to go down to the wire with both sides looking to come good. The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 19/20.

Torino 18/10

Draw 9/4

Udinese 15/10

Torino have been dismal so far this season with just one victory from 10 matches and are winless in their last four games. Udinese have been in top form of late with two wins on the bounce and will be looking to make it three in a row. It looks pretty straight-forward, get on the away win.

Lazio 6/10

Draw 31/10

Hellas Verona 4/1

Lazio have battled to win matches at home this season with just one victory from five games. Hellas Verona have been inconsistent this season so it’s difficult to say what type of team you going to get on Saturday. The Eagles have won six of the last seven meetings against Hellas Verona. The home win should be added to all multiples.

Sunday 13 December

Cagliari 13/2

Draw 17/4

Inter Milan 7/20

Cagliari have made a miserable start to the season and are winless in their last three games with back-to-back draws. Inter Milan have been in great form in recent weeks with three wins on the spin, scoring 10 goals and conceding just three times. Inter are chasing top spot and I’m certain that they will be fully prepared to see off Cagliari. Take the away team to win.

Bologna 5/2

Draw 28/10

Roma 19/20

Bologna’s two-game winning streak came to an end last time out as Inter Milan ousted Rossoblu 3-1 at the San Siro.

Roma are winless and goalless in their last two outing but I’m expecting them to turn a corner. Nonetheless, I’m expecting goals galore on Sunday afternoon. With that being said, get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 9/20.

Napoli 9/20

Draw 38/10

Sampdoria 11/2

Napoli have been in top form of late with two wins on the trot, scoring eight goals without conceding any. Sampdoria have been in terrible form as they remain winless in their last five matches. Back Napoli on the Half-time/Full-time win at even money.

Atalanta 7/10

Draw 3/1

Fiorentina 34/10

Atalanta are off the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat at home against Hellas Verona. Fiorentina just can’t seem to find a winning formula as they are winless in their last five matches. The Viola have managed just two wins from 10 games this season. In the last six meetings, these sides have scored 23 goals at an average of 3.83 per match. The Totals – Over 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 5/10.

Genoa 7/1

Draw 39/10

Juventus 7/20

Second, from the bottom of the log, Genoa, have lost four of their last five matches. Juventus come to town as one of two unbeaten teams in the league and will be looking to make some ground on league-leaders AC Milan. The Old Lady have not been very convincing this season but should do enough to come away with maximum points.

AC Milan 7/20

Draw 17/4

Parma 13/2

AC Milan are the gift that keeps on giving. Only question is, can they maintain this kind of form for another 28 rounds of Serie A football? Rossoneri are unbeaten with eight wins and two draws from 10 games, including three on the spin.

Parma have been weak with just two wins from 10 matches and will be desperate to change their fortune. Milan are undefeated against Parma in the last six meetings with five wins. The hosts are a banker but take them on the (-1) Handicap for more value at 17/20.

TREBLE @ 5/1

Lazio Win 6/10

Napoli HT-FT Win 1/1

AC Milan (-1) Handicap Win 17/20
