Round 23 of the Italian Serie A kicks off on Saturday the 3rd of February! Find out who our football expert is backing.

Round 22 of the Italian Serie A produced a cracking weekend of football. Napoli and Juventus are the front-runners for the Scudetto with both sides currently on a six-game winning streak. Inter Milan and Roma have fallen off the pace with the latter winless in six matches, while the former are without a victory in their last seven!

 YESWENA

Saturday 3 February

Sampdoria 14/10
Draw 49/20
Torino 37/20

Sampdoria will open proceedings after a morale-boosting 1-0 win at Roma last time out. The hosts have been strong on home soil this season with eight wins from 11 matches and will be looking to build on that.

Torino are unbeaten in their last five matches, including a 3-0 drubbing of Benevento at home last weekend. With both sides playing out of their boots, I’m backing Both Teams to Score – Yes – at 6/10.

Inter Milan 3/10
Draw 7/4
Crotone 10/1

Inter Milan are going through a rough patch at the moment and are now without a win in their last seven matches. The San Siro Stadium will be rocking on Saturday evening as the Nerazzurri’s die-hard fans will be hoping to give them a push in the right direction.

Crotone have travelled dismally with eight losses from 11 games, scoring nine goals and conceding 25 times. The home win should be backed.

Sunday 4 February

Hellas Verona 47/10
Draw 34/10
Roma 5/10

Hellas Verona will be buzzing with confidence following their 4-1 victory at Fiorentina last time out. Prior to that win, the relegation-threatened hosts had lost four matches on the trot as well as five of their last six games on their ground. Roma have been in terrible form and are winless in their last six matches.

The last six meetings between these sides at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi have seen both sides find the back of the net. Follow the trend and get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 13/20.

Juventus 2/9
Draw 47/10
Sassuolo 12/1

Juventus will be determined to keep the pressure on table-toppers Napoli. The Old Lady are on a six-match winning streak, scoring 11 goals and conceding three times. They also have the best home record in the league with nine wins from 11 games.

Sassuolo are winless in their last four games, including a disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to Atalanta last weekend. Back Juve on the Half-Time/Full-Time win at 7/10.

Cagliari 23/20
Draw 23/10
SPAL 49/20

Cagliari have been dreadful at home in recent weeks and are without a win in their last five matches, including three defeats on the spin. SPAL 2013 are without a win in five games but are coming off a hard-earned 1-1 draw at home against Inter Milan.

Both relegation-candidates will see this as a great opportunity to earn maximum points and increase their survival hopes. The Over 2.5 Goals market is tipped at 19/20.

Udinese 23/10
Draw 23/10
AC Milan 12/10

Udinese returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Genoa last Sunday. They are unbeaten in their last three home games with two wins, scoring six goals and conceding just once. AC Milan have been in top form with three consecutive wins.

Five of the last six meetings between the sides have seen both teams find the back of the net. Get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 15/20.

Bologna 9/4
Draw 23/10
Fiorentina 5/4

Bologna have been poor in recent weeks with three losses from their last four matches. However, Fiorentina have been just as poor with back-to-back defeats and should struggle to get going here.

Just one point separates the sides so you can expect a tightly contested match. Four of the last five meetings have produced Under 2.5 Goals. Follow the pattern at 7/10.

Atalanta 4/10
Draw 15/4
Chievo 13/2

Atalanta come off the back of an impressive 3-0 victory away to Sassuolo. Chievo are without a win in their last eight matches, including six defeats. La Dea have lost back-to-back matches on their ground but will be determined to turn that form around on Sunday.

Chievo have lost their last four travels, scoring once and conceding 12 times. The home win looks a banker bet.

Benevento 25/2
Draw 11/2
Napoli 1/5

Relegation-bound Benevento have been horrendous with 19 losses from 22 matches, scoring 13 goals and conceding 49. They will take on log-leaders Napoli, who have won six in a row and remain the only team unbeaten on the road.

The title-chasers have won 10 of their 11 travels and won the reverse tie 6-0. Napoli are tipped on the (-1) Handicap at 11/20.

Monday 5 February

Lazio 11/20
Draw 31/10
Genoa 5/1

Lazio were beaten 2-1 at AC Milan last time out but prior to that defeat they had suffered three consecutive losses. Genoa have been poor of late with two losses on the bounce and that doesn’t look likely to improve here.

Lazio have won their last three games on home soil, scoring 12 goals and conceding just once. Genoa have been inconsistent on the road and should go down. Back the home team to claim maximum points.

TREBLE TIPPED @ 4/1
Juventus HT-FT Win 7/10
Atalanta Win 4/10
Cagliari vs SPAL Over 2.5 Goals 19/20
