Italian Serie A: Week 32 Preview

Serie-A-Preview

Our Serie A tipster previews gameweek 32 of the 2016/17 Italian top-flight.

Usually, at this stage of the season, Juventus are running away with the league but this campaign Roma have pushed them all the way with Napoli not too far off either. With just seven games to go, there is no room for error – it’s all about staying focused and determined.

It was a pretty successful round of tipping last time out for yours truly, as I predicted eight of the 10 clashes. Gameweek 32 looks promising on the betting front, so stay tuned for all the best bets and tips. Let’s take a look.

Saturday 15 April

Inter Milan 11/10 | Draw 5/2 | AC Milan 23/10
For the life of me I cannot understand why Inter Milan are priced up as favourites against AC Milan – after all, the sides share the iconic stadium. AC Milan have also shown better form in recent weeks, claiming a 4-0 home win against Palermo last time out.

Inter have suffered back-to-back 2-1 defeats at the hands of Sampdoria and Sassuolo. The Nerazzurri are lacking a cutting edge in the final third, while their backline has looked shaky, to say the least. I’m getting on AC Milan victory at 23/10! But for the conservative punter, I would suggest climbing on the win/draw Double Chance at 7/10.

Roma 5/10 | Draw 34/10 | Atalanta 9/2
Atalanta have been a surprise package this season, contending with the big guns for the European places. Next up for La Dea is a stern test against title-chasing Roma. La Maggica have won 14 of their 15 games at home, scoring 42 goals and conceding just 11 times.

Roma have also won their last four matches, while Atalanta were disappointing last weekend, playing to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Sassuolo. The reverse tie ended 2-1 in favour of Atalanta and Roma are tipped to get their revenge with a victory. The home win is on the cards.

Palermo 31/20 | Draw 22/10 | Bologna 7/4
Palermo have been in dreadful form this season. They have claimed a lousy three wins from 31 games, while their recent form reads five losses on the spin, scoring just three goals and conceding 17 times.

Bologna have been poor of late with consecutive losses against Fiorentina (1-0) and Roma (3-0). Both sides have been week defensively, so goals are expected. Get on the Totals market – Over 2.5 Goals – at 9/10.

Cagliari 23/20 | Draw 47/20 | Chievo 9/4
Cagliari are off the back of a thrilling but disappointing 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Torino. That defeat extended their winless run on their ground to five matches, including three defeats.

However, they will have the perfect opportunity to bounce back to winning ways when Chievo come to town on the back of three straight defeats. I’m going to make this simpleThe last 10 meetings between these sides have produced Under 2.5 Goals – follow the trend at 9/10.

Torino 11/20 | Draw 32/10 | Crotone 17/4
Torino worked their socks off last time out to bag all three points in their trip to Cagliari with an entertaining 3-2 victory, ending a run of three games without a win. They will welcome their relegation-bound opponents to their home patch, where they are undefeated in their last seven games.

Crotone are doing their best to fight their way out of the bottom-three and seem to be doing a good job at it. Back-to-back wins have seen them now just three points off safety and depending on results this weekend, a win here could see them safe from relegation for the time being. I believe Crotone are on a high but need to stay grounded and focused. A tight affair is expected with the Totals market – Under 2.5 Goals – tipped at a valuable 27/20.

Fiorentina 3/10 | Draw 17/4 | Empoli 15/2
Fiorentina will welcome Empoli to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday afternoon. The Viola are unbeaten on their ground this season, including back-to-back wins. Empoli are in danger of making the undesired drop to Serie B.

A run of 10 matches without a win, including eight losses and two stalemates, has seen Empoli on the brink of relegation. To make matters worse, a trip to Fiorentina is never an ideal place to try turn your season around. The Additional Totals market catches my eye here, with Under 3.5 Goals too tempting to pass up at 5/10.

Pescara 7/1 | Draw 9/2 | Juventus 3/10
The league’s basement dwellers, Pescara, are almost guaranteed to be relegated this season. They are without a win in their last six league games with four defeats and two draws on the bounce. With defending champions Juventus up next, things look set to go from bad to worse.

The Old Lady have been impressive on their travels in the league with nine wins from 15 matches. Juve are unbeaten in their last 12 games with 10 wins and look a certainty to build on that with a win here. Back the table-toppers on the Halftime/Fulltime win at 8/10.

Genoa 38/10 | Draw 28/10 | Lazio 13/20
The home side are undefeated on their turf against Lazio in the last six meetings with four wins but their form leaves a lot to be desired, going down four times on the trot while conceding 10 goals without scoring.

Prior to Lazio’s humiliating 3-0 thrashing on home soil from Napoli, they were undefeated in their last eight games. I think this contest will be tighter than expected and I will be following the Totals market yet again. Under 2.5 Goals is the way to go at 21/20! Get on!

Sassuolo 23/20 | Draw 5/2 | Sampdoria 22/10
Let me get straight to the point with this enticing matchup. The home team are winless in their last six matches, while Doria have tasted just one defeat in their last 10 matches. The away team are unbeaten in the last five meetings at Sassuolo and should be backed on the (+1) Handicap at 13/20.

Napoli 1/4 | Draw 5/1 | Udinese 9/1
Last but not least, free-scoring Napoli take on high-flying Udinese. Both teams are coming off 3-0 victories, with Napoli ousting Lazio away from home, whilst Udinese thrashed Genoa to stretch their unbeaten run to five matches.

Napoli won the reverse tie 2-1 and will look to pull the double over their opponents, while keeping the pressure on Juventus and Roma. Since Udinese are in such great form, they should at least grab a goal. Get on the Matchbet + Both Teams To Score – Napoli + Yes – at even money.

TREBLE TIPPED @ 84/10
AC Milan Win 23/10
Roma Win 5/10
Cagliari v Chievo – Under 2.5 Goals 9/10
