Round 35 of the Italian Serie A kicks off on Saturday the 28th of April! Find out who our football expert is backing.

What a season it has been! The Italian Serie A took an exciting turn for the better last weekend after Napoli blew the title race wide open with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over reigning champions Juventus. With four rounds of football to go, the race to be crowned champions of Italy is set to go down to the wire. Let’s get to it!

Saturday 28 April

Roma 4/10
Draw 37/10
Chievo 13/2
Roma have been impressive of late with back-to-back wins, scoring five goals and conceding just once. Chievo are without a win away from home in their last 13 matches, including 10 defeats and three draws.

I’m backing the Giallorossi to claim a convincing victory over the visitors. They have won the last four meetings at home against Chievo and are tipped to build on that. Get on the Roma (-1) Handicap at 17/20!

Inter Milan 22/10
Draw 43/20
Juventus 13/10
Inter Milan will play host to Juventus in what could be a title-deciding matchup for the Old Lady! The Nerazzurri have found some form in recent weeks with two wins on the bounce, scoring six goals and conceding just once.

Juventus have been a bit shaky since their UEFA Champions League exit and will be desperate to come away with maximum points. A cagey affair is on the cards and the Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 6/10.

Sunday 29 April

Crotone 11/10
Draw 22/10
Sassuolo 26/10
Crotone were brilliant last weekend, claiming a 2-1 win away to Udinese, leapfrogging SPAL to climb out of the relegation zone for the time being. Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last eight matches, including back-to-back wins.

The hosts will be looking to build on last weekend’s victory, while their opponents will be determined to maintain their undefeated streak. Take Both Teams to Score – Yes – at 19/20.

Hellas Verona 23/10
Draw 43/20
SPAL 5/4
Hellas Verona just can’t seem to escape the drop zone. Their current form is doing nothing to alleviate the pressure. The hosts have lost three matches on the spin and can’t afford to be leaking points with the relegation battle at its peak. SPAL are placed 18th on the standings and are four points and one position above their opponents.

Should they collect all three points on Sunday, Hellas Verona will face a near-impossible task of surviving the fall to Serie B. Seven of the last nine meetings have seen both sides find the back of the net so I suggest you follow the trend at even money.

Benevento Calcio 51/20
Draw 51/20
Udinese 1/1
Benevento have officially been deemed surplus to requirements and have nothing left but their pride to play for. Last time out, despite the disappointment within the club, the inevitable Serie B side edged AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro against all odds.

Udinese have been in dreadful form with 11 losses on the trot and simply just aren’t getting any better! Back Benevento at a valuable 51/20!

Atalanta 7/20
Draw 38/10
Genoa 9/1
Atalanta have impressed of late with two wins on the bounce, scoring five goals and conceding only once. Genoa have travelled poorly in recent weeks with three losses from their last four matches and that doesn’t look like improving here.

La Dea have won the last four meetings against their opponents and will be looking to make it five straight victories. Get on the Half-time/Full-time Home win at 9/10!

Bologna 39/10
Draw 26/10
AC Milan 7/10
Bologna have been inconsistent at best, but to their fortune, play host to an out-of-form AC Milan side on Sunday afternoon. The Rossoneri are winless in their last six matches, including a disappointing and embarrassing 1-0 home defeat against relegation-bound Benevento last time out.

However, I’m expecting both sides to lift their game this weekend and hopefully make this contest exciting for the fans. The Totals – Over 2.5 Goals – market should be backed at even money.

Sampdoria 17/20
Draw 51/20
Cagliari 31/10
Sampdoria have been strong at home this season with 11 wins from 17 home games, while Cagliari have travelled dismally with 10 losses from 17 matches. The sides played out to an entertaining four-goal thriller last time around with the contest ending in a 2-2 stalemate.

La Samp will be looking to capitalize on home advantage this time around and they are tipped to do just that. The hosts are tipped to come out on top.

Fiorentina 5/1
Draw 32/10
Napoli 5/10

Another clash that could have massive ramifications on the title-race is Fiorentina’s encounter with high-flying Napoli. The Viola have been poor of late with back-to-back losses, while their form at home this season has been average at best.

Napoli remain the only unbeaten team away from home this season with 13 wins and four draws from 17 matches. The Azzurri will also be high on confidence after edging Juventus 1-0 last weekend. Back the away win here at 5/10.

Torino 36/10
Draw 3/1
Lazio 7/10
Torino and Lazio will round off this weekend’s action with what’s likely to end in a goal fest. The hosts are winless in three games but you can never write them off with the attacking football that they play. Lazio are unbeaten in their last seven matches, including two wins on the bounce.

The last four meetings between these sides have produced four goals and I’m expecting another high-scoring affair. The Additional Totals – Over 3.5 Goals – offers a bit of value at 14/10 – get on!
