Round eight of the Italian Serie A kicks off on Saturday the 14th of October! Find out who our football expert is backing.

The Serie A returns to action this weekend with plenty mouth-watering fixtures. The blockbuster of the round is none other than the Milan derby at the San Siro Stadium, while title-rivals Roma and Napoli will lock horns on Saturday evening. There’s money to be made here and I’m confident I have the winning formula. Let’s check it out.

 El Clasico Promo 2017/18

Saturday 14 October

Juventus 11/20 | Draw 31/10 | Lazio 47/10 (18:00)
We kick-start proceedings at Juventus Stadium with the reigning six-time champions playing host to high-flying Lazio. The Old Lady dropped their first points of the season last time out, as they settled for a 2-2 draw at Atalanta.

Lazio, on the other hand, recorded the biggest win of the round, thrashing Sassuolo 6-1 at the Stadio Olimpico. They have won back-to-back games and will be looking to maintain that sort of form. However, Juve are unbeaten in their last 41 home matches in the league and will be determined build on that. The home win should be backed.

Roma 37/10 | Draw 26/10 | Napoli 13/10 (20:45)
Roma and Napoli will go toe-to-toe in what promises to be a cracking contest! The home side have won their last four games, scoring 12 goals and conceding just once. Napoli have won all their matches thus far, scoring an average of 3.57 goals per match.

Usually I would suggest backing one of Hollywoodbets’ many exotic markets, but I’m favouring Napoli to come up with the goods. Get on the away win at 13/10!

Sunday 15 October

Fiorentina 13/20 | Draw 3/1 | Udinese 39/10 (12:30)
Sunday offers an abundance of Serie A football, including eight matches. Fiorentina and Udinese will square off in a lunch-time kick-off. The Viola are looking to return to winning ways following a run of three matches without a victory.

Udinese were absolutely brilliant prior to the international break, ending a run of three defeats with an emphatic 4-0 home win over Sampdoria. A tight affair is on the cards but both sides are likely to find the back of the net. Both Teams To Score – Yes – is tipped at 7/10.

Bologna 8/10 | Draw 47/20 | Spal 4/1 (15:00)
Bologna and newly-promoted Spal 2013 will lock horns on Sunday afternoon. The Rossoblu were impressive before the international break with two wins on the bounce, while Spal are winless on the road, conceding four times without scoring.

I’m backing Bologna to pick up where they left off. With home advantage, the Rossoblu are tipped to make it three wins on the spin.

Cagliari 5/4 | Draw 9/4 | Genoa 9/4 (15:00)
Cagliari will take on Genoa in one of the least eye-catching matches but there is still value to be found here.

The home side have been in terrible form with three consecutive losses, while Genoa are yet to win a match this term. With both teams struggling to find the back of the net, a low scoring contest is expected. Under 2.5 Goals looks well worth a punt at 15/20.

Crotone 28/10 | Draw 49/20 | Torino 1/1 (15:00)
Crotone have struggled to find their feet with just one win from seven games, scoring four goals and conceding 12 times. Torino come to town without a win in two games but will be determined to return to winning ways.

Six of the last eight meetings between the sides have produced Under 2.5 goals so that is a market to look out for. However, Torino are the better of the sides and I feel they will come back rejuvenated after this international break. The away win should be backed.

Sampdoria 7/4 | Draw 23/10 | Atalanta 31/20 (15:00)
A wounded Sampdoria side will play host to Atalanta on Sunday evening. La Samp were hammered 4-0 at Udinese before the international break, ending a run of five matches unbeaten, including three wins and two draws.

Atalanta are undefeated in their last five matches with a well-deserved 2-2 home draw against Juventus last time out. La Dea will be hopeful of building on that but their opponents have been solid on home soil. A close encounter is expected with Under 2.5 Goals tipped at 9/10.

Sassuolo 13/10 | Draw 22/10 | Chievo 22/10 (15:00)
Relegation-threatened Sassuolo have been dismal with five losses from seven matches, scoring four goals and conceding 15 times.

Chievo are unbeaten in their last four games with back-to-back victories and also claimed the double over Sassuolo last season. Neroverdi will be looking to make home advantage count but they are lacking confidence at present. Get on the Chievo Win/Draw Double Chance at 11/20.

Inter Milan 21/20 | Draw 5/2 | AC Milan 49/20 (20:45)
The match of the weekend pits Inter Milan up against AC Milan in what promises to be an enticing clash. Inter are unbeaten with six wins and one draw from seven matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding only three times.

AC Milan have been poor of late with two defeats on the bounce. Form usually goes out the window in derby matches like these but Inter have looked far better and are tipped to get the win.

Monday 16 October

Hellas Verona 9/10 | Draw 5/2 | Benevento Calcio 31/10 (20:45)
Hellas Verona and new boys on the block Benevento Calcio will close out the round with a Monday night clash. Both sides are without a win after seven matches with Hellas Verona scoring three times and conceding 16 goals, while Benevento have found the back of the net just twice, conceding 18 times.

Both sides are expected to go all out for the win but with a lack of quality up front in attack, we might just encounter a dull affair. The Totals market is the way to go once again – Under 2.5 goals can be found at 15/20.

TREBLE @ 5/1
Napoli Win 13/10
Fiorentina vs Udinese BTTS 7/10
Chievo Win/Draw 11/20
