Girona and Athletic Bilbao kick us off on Friday evening as the Spanish LaLiga returns to our TV screens with an exciting line-up of fixtures to be played across the weekend. Here are our predictions for gameweek 13.

Friday 4 November

Girona 29/10 | Draw 5/2 | Athletic Bilbao 19/20 (22:00)

This electrifying game week kicks off with a tie between Girona and Athletic Bilbao – with the hosts occupying 17th place in the table and looking for their first win in seven games.

Bilbao, on the other hand, are in sixth position and looking to build on their 1-0 victory over Villarreal last time out. The away win is tipped here.

Saturday 5 November

Getafe 21/20 | Draw 22/10 | Cadiz 29/10 (15:00)

The opening game on Saturday sees Getafe host 19th-placed Cadiz. Following a poor run of form of five winless games with two defeats followed by three straight draws, Getafe finally secured a win away at bottom side Elche thanks to a strike from Enes Unal. Cadiz, on the other hand, were also on the winning side, pulling off a shock 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid. Before that, the Andalusian outfit were also winless in five matches with four draws and a defeat. This is one of those games you really want to be avoiding. But if you must have a go, the draw looks likely.

Valladolid 17/20 | Draw 26/10 | Elche 33/10 (17:15)

Valladolid’s two-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of Osasuna last weekend, but Pacheta’s side will eye a return to winning ways when they host Elche at the José Zorrilla Stadium. The Green-Striped Ones are bottom of the log with just four points from 12 games. Take the home win here.

Celta Vigo 21/20 | Draw 47/20 | Osasuna 26/10 (19:30)

Celta Vigo’s poor run of form continued when they extended their winless run to five matches by losing 3-1 away at Almeria. The Galician side may have thought they turned a corner when they ended a three-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw at home to Getafe, but this was far from the case as their lack of discipline saw them reduced to 10 men when Gabri Viega was shown a red card in the first half. The card came five minutes after he had scored to give his side the lead.

Eduardo Coudet will be desperate to turn around Celta’s fortunes, but a meeting with Osasuna may not go well. The Pamplona-based side are unbeaten in their last three matches, claiming wins over Espanyol and Real Valladolid in between a draw away to Girona. I’m backing the visitors on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 13/20.

Barcelona 1/10 | Draw 17/2 | Almeria 22/1 (22:00)

Barcelona will be looking to continue winning when they host an Almeria side who have lost their last five games away from home. Xavi Hernandez’s side are on a three-match winning streak in LaLiga with victories over Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao and Valencia. The in-form Robert Lewandowski netted in all three of those games. Barca win this but take Lewandowski to score anytime for a bit more value.

Sunday 6 November

5/10 Atletico Madrid | Draw 32/10 | Espanyol 6/1 (15:00)

Atletico Madrid’s five-game unbeaten run in LaLiga came to a disappointing end against Cadiz at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla. After working so hard and scoring in the 85th and 89th minutes to return from a two-goal deficit, the Rojiblancos conceded a third in stoppage time, leaving Diego Simeone highly frustrated. A return to the Wanda Metropolitano could be the tonic they need, and they should get back on track with a win against Espanyol.

Real Sociedad 9/10 | Draw 5/2 | Valencia 32/10 (17:15)

Consecutive losses for Real Sociedad have seen them drop from third to fifth position on the standings. Before those defeats, the Basque side were on a five-game winning streak in LaLiga. Imanol Alguacil’s side will look to get their campaign back on track against Valencia who are winless in four and are also on a two-match losing streak. The home win is tipped.

Villarreal 13/20 | Draw 28/10 | Mallorca 44/10 (19:30)

Villarreal began life after Unai Emery with a 1-0 defeat away at Athletic Bilbao last weekend. Having had a bit more time to work with the squad now, Quique Setien will be hoping to bag all three points against Mallorca, whom they beat 3-0 in this fixture last season. Back the home win.

Real Betis 12/10 | Draw 47/20 | Sevilla 24/10 (22:00)

With six losses and a draw in their last seven league meetings with Sevilla, Real Betis will feel that this is the perfect time to play their hoodoo team. Manuel Pellegrini’s men sit fourth on the table and have won five of their six games at home, while Jorge Sampaoli’s side find themselves in the relegation zone and coming off a 1-0 home defeat against Rayo Vallecano. The home win at 12/10 is too good to pass up.

Monday 7 November

Rayo Vallecano 46/10 | Draw 32/10 | Real Madrid 6/10 (22:00)

Unbeaten Real Madrid still occupy top spot on the LaLiga standings. However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side would have been disappointed to drop points at home to Girona who were in the drop zone heading into that game. Real will seek to return to their winning ways when they travel to face Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio de Vallecas on Monday. Rayo have been impressive at home and won’t make it easy for Madrid, but the Spanish and European champions should edge a tight affair.

TREBLE @ 5/1

Valladolid Win 17/20
Atletico Madrid Win 5/10
Real Betis Win 12/10
