Friday 24 February

Elche 11/4 | Draw 49/20 | Real Betis 1/1 (22:00)

Opening the La Liga gameweek, we have a game primed for a big punt! Bottom-of-the-table Elche welcome Real Betis who have secured back-to-back league wins for the first time since September. Get behind Real Betis as the value bet for this weekend.

Saturday 25 February

Espanyol 5/4 | Draw 2/1 | Mallorca 26/10 (15:00)

Vinicius Souza continues to prove his worth to Espanyol from a defensive aspect, recording 50 key tackles this season. Mallorca will have to find a way around him, but with their lack of goals, it’s not giving me confidence to back them. The draw is a probability.

Cadiz 19/10 | Draw 43/20 | Rayo Vallecano 16/10 (17:15)

Rayo Vallecano keep surpassing everything I expected of them, suffering just three league defeats in their last 15 fixtures. Cadiz, on the other hand, ride high on confidence with a 2-0 win over log leaders Barcelona, and picking a winner in this fixture is the toughest of the lot. Cadiz have found the back of the net in their last five home games, and Vallecano have found the back of the net in their last 10 – back Both Teams to Score (Yes) at even money.

Real Madrid 8/10 | Draw 26/10 | Atletico Madrid 34/10 (19:30)

Valencia 19/10 | Draw 22/10 | Real Sociedad 31/20 (22:00)

Valencia’s home form needs to improve dramatically to scrape their way off the bottom of the table. On the flipside, Real Sociedad’s away form is the reason for the position on the table. At 31/20, the value on Sociedad is immense.

Sunday 26 February

Athletic Bilbao 7/10  | Draw 11/4 | Girona 42/10 (15:00)

Girona decimated Almeria in their last encounter, winning 6-2. Alex Garcia has been an integral part of Girona’s recent form, earning six assists this season, but Athletic Bilbao is a much tougher opposition. Bilbao’s home form has been the main driving force of their two point proximity of a European spot, and you can back them to earn a full compliment of points.

Celta Vigo 8/10  | Draw 26/10 | Valladolid 36/10 (17:15)

This fixture has stalemate written all over it. Both clubs have recorded one win, two draws, and two losses in their last five, plus four draws in their last five meetings. Celta Vigo sit 14th on the log and Valladolid sit 15th having played 33 fixtures each and collecting 24 points apiece.

Almeria 58/10 | Draw 38/10 | Barcelona 9/20 (19:30)

Almeria desperately need a win, but facing Barcelona in search of it comes across as a pipe dream. Barcelona is short on personnel with a massive injury blow to Pedri, but the system that Xavi has built should allow someone of less quality to slot in perfectly with game time. Barca are the banker of the weekend.

Sevilla 9/10 | Draw 49/20 | Osasuna 34/10 (22:00)

Sevilla securing a 3-0 win in the first leg of their Europa League clash has allowed them to focus a little more energy on the league. The start of the new year has been positive for the home side, suffering just one defeat at the hands of Barcelona, and should find victory here.

Monday 27 February

Villarreal 13/20 | Draw 28/20 | Getafe 46/10 (22:00)

Getafe have shown a little fight in recent fixtures, including an away from home draw with Atletico Madrid as a more defining result. With the way Villarreal are performing, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Getafe get another good result away from home in a bid to fight off relegation.

QUAD 8/1

Athletic Bilbao Win 7/10
Barcelona Win 9/20
Sevilla Win 9/10
