The 26-year-old Maart joined Orlando Pirates in 2017 but was loaned out where he played for Cape Umoya United before being released by Pirates to join Sekhukhune in 2020. He has also been capped by Bafana six times.

Maart has looked a very useful player at Sekhukhune and his performances seem to have caught the attention Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter.

According to a Soccer Laduma source, AmaKhosi are seriously looking to make a move to sign the attacking midfielder in January 2022. His contract at Sekhukhune only falls due in June 2023.

“There is an interest from Kaizer Chiefs in Sekhukhune United’s Yusuf Maart and the player is being monitored by Chiefs.

“Yusuf could move to Chiefs as early as in January next year if the two clubs (Chiefs and Sekhukhune) could agree on his transfer,” the source told Soccer Laduma.
