Amakhosi were said to have tabled an offer for the centre-mid but Matthews insists there has been no contact.

Matthews told KickOff: “Chiefs have not tabled an offer for him and even if they did, he is not for sale to any club at all this season.”

The player’s agent Mika Makaab had preiously indicated that Chiefs was the player’s preferred option.

“I can’t comment on what his agent is quoted saying,” Matthews added.

“I spoke to his agent this morning and the words “offer from Chiefs” never came up.

“You will have to ask him because all I told him was that Sipho is not for sale to any club until he shines again for SuperSport United.

“Let his performances do the talking instead of his agent.”
