The 25-year-old central midfielder has played just three DStv Premiership matches this season.

Last term the former Maritzburg United man played a more significant role, with 38 matches in all competitions in total.

But despite his limited minutes so far in the current campaign, Ndlovu insists hard work and consistency will see him play more.

He said on FARPost: “I’m happy at Pirates and understand the importance of consistently working hard and waiting for my chance. When I get my chance, I’ll grab it with both hands.

“But claiming that I’m unhappy and want to leave is certainly not true. There are no guarantees in football, you work hard and you’re rewarded for your consistent, hard work.”

Agent Jazzman Mahlakgane added: “I must put it on record that this [the reports] is disgusting and sad, it’s not factual. The person who wrote the story is trying to distract this boy from his journey of fighting for his position.

“When he joined Orlando Pirates, we had a long discussion and the boy understood it was not going to be easy. You can speak to the coaches and they will tell you that at training he is putting in the shift, his attitude remains unchanged.”
