AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu admits that when they face Orlando Pirates on Thursday in the DStv Premiership encounter at Orlando Stadium they will be potentially facing their toughest opponents.

In their last match, Usuthu beat Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 to end their 17-match unbeaten streak, but Zungu is reading nothing into that result heading into the game against the Buccaneers.

“The boys are highly motivated,” Zungu told KickOff.com.

“They know what is at stake, and they need no motivation because playing against Orlando Pirates after the win against Sundowns, they are playing against potentially the toughest opposition.

“I really believe that about Pirates in terms of the depth where they’ve got lots of depth,” said Zungu.

“The technical team in Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi are great minds who I respect tremendously, and I know Benni will respect them a lot, and so we cannot approach tomorrow’s game with arrogance.

“Pirates is a very strong opposition with great players. They gave us a run for our money a few weeks back here in Durban, and you know they could have easily won that game as well.

“And now we are playing them at home. We know it’s not going to be easy, but they know we are going there for maximum points, we are not going there for a draw, and we are playing against a team that also are seeking maximum points,” he added.
