Wednesday 26 August

JDR Stars 21/10
Draw 21/10
Ajax Cape Town 12/10
Ajax Cape Town are in danger of missing out on automatic promotion as poor results have seen the gap between them and second-placed Swallows narrow to three points. The Urban Warriors will be looking for maximum points against a JDR Stars side who only have a theoretical chance of finishing in the top three. The rookies have done well this season but I don’t see them managing to secure a PSL promotional spot or holding their own in this particular encounter. My money is on Ajax.

University of Pretoria 11/10
Draw 21/10
Cape Umoya United 5/2
This is a game between two teams who have been poor in recent weeks with University of Pretoria remaining winless in the last five games while the visitors have registered one victory in that period. I foresee a cagey affair ending with a share of the spoils.

TS Galaxy 2/1
Draw 2/1
Free State Stars 27/20
TS Galaxy are looking to turn the corner after losing 1-0 to Richards Bay while Free State Stars desperately need to make amends for the shocking defeat they suffered at the hands of relegation-threatened Jomo Cosmos. A draw is on the cards.

Steenberg United 1/1
Draw 2/1
Jomo Cosmos 3/1
Steenberg, who are winless in the last five games, will have their work cut out for them against a Jomo Cosmos outfit who are in desperate need of points at this critical stage of the season. Ezenkosi are second from the bottom and a win here could see them climb out of the drop zone. I’m backing Jomo Sono’s men to win this one.

TS Sporting 22/10
Draw 19/10
Real Kings 13/10
TS Sporting come into this one off the back of five consecutive draws and failure to collect maximum points could see them drop into the relegation zone. Real Kings have a slight chance of finishing in the top three and playing off for PSL promotion. In terms of recent form, the visitors have won two, lost one and drawn two of their last five games. I think the KZN outfit will win this one.

Mbombela United 9/10
Draw 2/1
Royal Eagles 7/2
Mbombela are one point above the relegation zone and a defeat for them is unimaginable. They face off with a Royal Eagles side that has already been relegated and has nothing to play for. Back the hosts who still need the points.

Richards Bay 7/2
Draw 22/10
Swallows 8/10
Richards Bay finally snapped a four-match winless run when they defeated TS Galaxy 1-0 the last time out. Swallows still has a chance to gain automatic promotion to the PSL as they’re currently three points off the pace. I foresee the Dube Birds collecting maximum points here.

Tshakhuma 13/10
Draw 19/10
Uthongathi 22/10
This is a crucial match for both sides involved as they lie third and fourth on the table, separated by a single point. They’re both looking to finish in the top three and play off for PSL promotion. This should be a cagey affair but I expect Uthongathi to play on the front foot since they need a victory more than their opponents who should just avoid a defeat. Put your money on the Cane Cutters.

Treble @7/1
Ajax Cape Town 12/10
Mbombela United 9/10
Swallows 8/10
