There are three rounds of Bundesliga action within the next two weeks before all 18 teams take a short winter break. Starting with a full complement of fixtures this weekend, we’re looking to make some extra cash to brighten up your holidays.

Friday 10 December

Cologne 6/10 | Draw 31/10 | Augsburg 42/10 (21:30)

Cologne gets proceedings underway on Friday night hoping to extend their unbeaten streak to five matches after claiming three draws and beating Borussia Monchengladbach two weeks ago. The Billy Goats have been stellar on home soil at the RheinEnergieStadion, going unbeaten this season with four victories and three draws with quality opposition RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin.

Augsburg are misfiring, the visitors are in the relegation zone and it’s clear that their battle this season will be staying in the top division. The visitors will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a 3-2 defeat at home to newly-promoted Bochum last Saturday, however, I don’t see Augsburg picking up their first away win in this matchup. Banker the Billy Goats.

Saturday 11 December

Bayern Munich 2/9 | Draw 6/1 |Mainz 9/1 (16:30)

Mainz moved up two places on the log standings after a thorough routing of Wolfsburg, claiming a 3-0 victory at the MEWA Arena thanks to two early goals before the five-minute mark. How do we find value in this clash? Let’s explore that instead of a Bayern Munich home win at 2/9 odds.

With the visitors finding the net in their last nine games across all competitions and the last four meetings between these sides seeing both teams score, it’s exactly what I’m looking for.

Interestingly, in the most recent showdown, Mainz claimed maximum points over the Bavarians in a 2-1 win with Robert Lewandowski claiming a consolation goal in added time. My money is firmly on Bayern Munich Win & Both Teams To Score (Yes) at 5/4.

Freiburg 14/10 | Draw 51/20 | Hoffenheim 18/10 (16:30)

Freiburg got back to winning ways with an emphatic 6-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach, incredibly scoring all six goals in the opening 37 minutes of the match, more interestingly, the same inconsistent Monchengladbach team that beat Bayern Munich 5-0 in cup competition five weeks ago.

Hoffenheim will be hoping to earn their first win over Freiburg in five meetings, the previous four ties have seen Freiburg win thrice, while both teams played out to a 1-1 stalemate last time out. The visiting team have been in impressive form, scoring in three straight games against RB Leipzig (2-0), Greuther Furth (6-3) and Eintracht Frankfurt (3-2).

On current form, my money is on Hoffenheim to claim their first win at the Dreisamstadion since 2019, when current Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann was at the helm.

Bochum 44/10 | Draw 38/10 | Borussia Dortmund 5/10 (16:30)

Newly-promoted Bochum entertain Borussia Dortmund with spearhead Erling Haaland fully fit and completely focused on matters in the Bundesliga after being dumped out of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Bochum are in fine form, claiming wins over Hoffenheim (2-0), Freiburg (2-1) and Augsburg (3-2) in their last four games, only losing out narrowly to Bayer Leverkusen (1-0). The hosts will come into the clash full of confidence, also winning all three of their home games since the international break.

The last meeting in the Bundesliga between Bochum and Dortmund back in the 2010s season saw BVB run out 4-1 winners. I’m expecting more of the same, Dortmund to win is priced at 5/10, while Erling Haaland in the Anytime Goalscorer market is also 5/10, get on!

Hertha Berlin 19/20 | Draw 24/10 | Arminia Bielefeld 29/10 (16:30)

The Olympiastadion Berlin plays host to a clash between two clubs desperate to turn their seasons around. Hertha Berlin are winless in their previous five Bundesliga matches which has ‘The Old Lady’ precariously hovering above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Arminia Bielefeld are fighting for their top-flight status after beginning the season poorly, only managing one victory from 14 league games.

Both clashes last season between these sides produced a combined total of just one. I’m following the trend and taking a punt on Under 2.5 Goals at 15/20.

RB Leipzig 8/10 | Draw 29/10 | Borussia Monchengladbach 3/1 (16:30)

Interim manager Achim Beierlorzer has a massive task on his hands after taking charge of an underperforming squad that struggled to adapt between the change of manager. Jesse Marsch only lasted 14 league games this season, but it’s not entirely the manager’s fault as several key members of the squad tested positive for Covid-19 in the weeks leading up to Marsch’s sacking.

Borussia Monchengladbach desperately need to bounce back after conceding 10 goals in their last two games against Freiburg (6-0) and Cologne (4-1). Jonas Hofmann is the man coach Adi Hutter will look to; the German midfielder has scored seven of the Foals’ 18 league goals this campaign. Monchengladbach on the Win or Draw Double Chance is a solid bet at 9/10.

Wolfsburg 15/20 | Draw 28/10 | Stuttgart 7/2 (19:30)

A goal-filled end-to-end encounter is expected at the Volkswagen Arena that will close out Saturday’s action when Stuttgart makes the trip north to face a Wolfsburg team that are struggling to compete on both the domestic on continental fronts. The Wolves come off back-to-back league defeats to Borussia Dortmund (3-1) and Mainz (3-0) last Saturday.

Stuttgart have won just once in seven league games and more worryingly, haven’t won an away game all season. In this form, it’s no surprise the Reds are in a fight against relegation.

Both teams have conceded more goals than they’ve scored this season, my banker of the weekend is Both Teams To Score (Yes) at 15/20.

Sunday 12 December

Greuther Furth 7/2 | Draw 29/10 | Union Berlin 7/10 (16:30)

Sunday’s action sees Union Berlin meet the whipping boys of the Bundesliga, Greuther Furth, away at the Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer.

Union Berlin have been superb on home soil and would love to continue those performance on the road. Empty out on Union Berlin becoming the 14th team to beat Greuther Furth this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt 21/10 | Draw 51/20 | Bayer Leverkusen 12/10 (18:30)

Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen close out gameweek 15 at Deutsche Bank Park after concluding their group-stage games of the UEFA Europa League and securing passage to the knockout stages.

Eintracht Frankfurt will return from Turkey, while Bayer Leverkusen return from Hungary after facing Fenerbahce and Ferencvaros respectively. Bayer Leverkusen are in fine form with their frontline firing on all cylinders but I’ll prefer putting my money on a high-scoring affair between these two opponents.

Both Teams To Score (Yes) is a banker at 5/10.
