The former SuperSport United boss was left without a job after the sale of Bidvest Wits to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
He was never going to be out of work for long, and was swiftly appointed to replace Ernst Middendorp, who paid the price for his failure to win the 2019/20 Premiership title.
Hunt signed a three-year deal and speaking to the Sowetan, he revealed his plans for the Soweto giants.
He said: “We need to make sure that we can try and improve on last year.
“I think last year Ernst and Shaun (Bartlett) did an unbelievable job with the squad and they were so unfortunate not to win the title and I really felt for them at the end, but that’s football.
“Hopefully, we can move on and try to improve the team, improve the results and obviously try and win few trophies. The most important thing is to get the team winning again.”
