The Miguel Cardoso-coached team will be eager to earn all the maximum points and move closer to securing the league title.

A positive result is crucial for the Pretoria giants, who have tough competition from rivals Orlando Pirates.

After losing out in the Champions League, Pirates are determined to complete a domestic treble.

They have already won the MTN8, they are in the Nedbank Cup final against Kaizer Chiefs and are still in the running for the league top honours.

On the other hand, the 13th-placed Richards Bay need all the points they can get to move away from the possibility of being relegated.

While no top-tier outfit will be automatically relegated this season because of the Royal AM expulsion, one side will still have to fight for their survival in the Premier Soccer League promotion/relegation playoffs.

The Natal Rich Boyz have managed 26 points from 24 matches in the current season. They are three points above SuperSport United and Cape Town City.

The top-eight finish remains a possible goal for the KwaZulu-Natal men. They are four points behind eighth-placed Chippa United, who have played 23 matches.

How to watch

The match will be broadcast on SuperSport Channel 208 from 19:25, with streaming also available on Showmax.

Live commentary will be available on various SABC radio stations.

Betting odds

Because of their strong squad and excellent record against their opponent, Sundowns are clear favourites to win this bout.

Cardoso’s men have won all seven outings against the Natal Rich Boyz. But football is a funny business that is known for producing nasty surprises. With Richards Bay fighting for survival, they might throw everything at the hosts. To place a bet, head over to Hollywoodbets.net.

Players to watch

Since his return from a long injury layoff, Themba Zwane has been impressive when coming off the bench against Al Ahly in the Champions League.

It remains to be seen if Cardoso will be tempted to hand him his first start against Richards Bay since his return.

Khuliso Mudau has been in fine form for Sundowns in the past few games and will be key in dealing with any attacking threats by the visitors.

The Papi Zothwane-coached side will hope that their dangerman Yanela Mbuthuma brings his A-game to the clash if they are to stand a chance of getting something from it.

Defenders Tshepo Mabua and Simphiwe Mcineka will be expected to play a key role in stopping Sundowns’ dangerous attackers in the game.
