Gaston Sirino put Chiefs ahead in the 13th minute, finishing off a well-executed move started by Thabo Cele and assisted by Reeve Frosler.

Chiefs controlled the match, with their midfield trio of Cele, Samkelo Zwane, and Sirino setting the tempo throughout.

Chippa United, managed by Thabo September and assisted by the returning Morgan Mammila, fought hard but struggled to break down a resolute Chiefs defense.

Andile Jali remained on the bench for Chippa, and despite their efforts, they couldn’t find a way past Bruce Bvuma, who made several crucial saves to preserve a clean sheet.

Inacio Miguel doubled Chiefs’ lead with a penalty, and Pule Mmodi added a late goal to seal the win, ensuring Nasreddine Nabi’s side progressed with ease.

Chiefs captain Yusuf Maart was suspended for the match, but his absence was hardly noticed as the Soweto giants delivered a dominant performance.
