AmaZulu have announced the appointment of Pedro Dias as their new Director of Football.
Usuthu President Sandile Zungu had been reportedly been looking for months for the correct candidate for the role.
And his appointment come with the DStv Premiership club seemingly on the up under new head coach Pablo Franco Martin after a couple of difficult seasons since the departure of Benni McCarthy, who led the club to a second placed finish in 2021.
A club statement read: “Portuguese-born Pedro Dais has been officially appointed as the Director of Football at AmaZulu Football Club with immediate effect.”

Zungu added: “It is with absolutepleasure that we welcome Pedro to AmaZulu. After a series of interviews, we are sure that we have our own person.
“He has made Usuthu his assignment. He impressed us in the interviews. We just could not wait for him to land here and begin his role in assisting AmaZulu to develop the Usuthu way, and to see greater intervention between the development ranks and the senior team.
“Pedro’s role is to oversee and ensure that we reap the full rewards of our investment, for years to come.”
