The 36-year-old attacker scored 62 goals and created 40 in 359 appearances for the Glamour Boys over nearly ten years.

He was deemed surlus to requirements, along with nine other released players, before spending time training with SuperSport United.

He ultimately ended up at the ambitious TS Galaxy.

Parker said on KickOff: “It was a tough one [being released] because I didn’t expect it.

“And I had to accept that decisions in football aren’t only about football, they are also about what the club [hierarchy] is thinking and how they want to look at the future.

“So, me not being part of their plans, I really understand that it’s a holistic decision that was made and I accept it.”

Parker could make his Galaxy debut against Golden Arrows on Saturday.
