Friday 17 March

Stellenbosch 14/10 | Draw 2/1 | AmaZulu 2/1 (19:30)

DStv Premiership action kicks off on Friday where Stellenbosch and AmaZulu lock horns at Parow Park Stadium. Steve Barker and his troops will be looking to add to Usuthu’s disappointing exit of the Nedbank Cup with a win over the Durban-based club.

AmaZulu will look to gain their respect back after a disappointing showing against Dondol Stars where they lost to the ABC Motsepe League side in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes. Romain Folz will demand a top performance from his team as they look to cement themselves in the Top 8. Usuthu are tipped to come away with all three points.

Swallows 13/10 | Draw 2/1 | Golden Arrows 22/10 (19:30)

Swallows need to bounce back after a heavy 4-1 defeat last time out in Dobsonville against their local rivals Orlando Pirates. Swallows see themselves 14th on the log standings and looking for a dominant performance against an inconsistent Golden Arrows side.

Abafana Bes’thende will look to correct their recent run of form and will look to replicate that strong never-say-die performance they displayed against Kaizer Chiefs to get the win away from home and pile the pressure on their opponents. I’m backing Arrows to secure maximum points.

Saturday 18 March

Sekhukhune United 13/10 | Draw 2/1 | Chippa United 22/10 (15:30)

Sekhukhune have won just once win in their last four games – a record they will be desperate to change. A win for Brandon Truter will certainly boost their confidence as they look to find some consistency to fight for a place in the Top 8.

Chippa United find themselves just three points behind Truter and his men. Playing away from home has not been easy for the Chilli Boys and they’ll have to be at their best if they look to get all three points. Neither side gives me confidence. I’m going for the draw.

Orlando Pirates 13/10 | Draw 2/1 | SuperSport United 22/10 (17:45)

Orlando Pirates find themselves in third position, while SuperSport United hold second spot. The Sea Robbers will be on the front foot, motivated by that dominant performance against Moroka Swallows. Jose Riveiro’s relatively young squad are among five teams chasing down second spot to qualify for next season’s CAF Champions League.

Matsatsantsa are a well drilled team and will look to catch Pirates on the break. Gavin Hunt will look to his sharpshooter Bradley Grobler who is the joint leading goalscorer in the DStv Premiership to pinch the win away from home. In what should be a tight affair, I’m backing Pirates to make home advantage count.

Maritzburg United 28/10 | Draw 21/10 | Kaizer Chiefs 1/1 (20:00)

Maritzburg United will look to reset and put in a huge performance when they welcome Kaizer Chiefs to Harry Gwala Stadium with the aim of getting out of the relegation spot (15th) and keeping their status in the DStv Premiership top-flight next season.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to prioritise CAF Champions League qualification for the remainder of the season. Arthur Zwane will look to take advantage of relegation-threatened Maritzburg United, and a win will move them one step closer on their quest for CAF Champions League football next season. The Glamour Boys are tipped with confidence.

Sunday 19 March

TS Galaxy 14/10 | Draw 2/1 | Richards Bay 2/1 (15:30)

TS Galaxy can look to revive their season with a win against Richards Bay in front of their home fans. The Rockets have not been at their best of late in their own backyard but will look to dominate possession in the middle of the park and get their keys players to influence the game for an all-important victory.

Richards Bay sadly lost one of their player’s recently in a freak accident which has come as a shock to everybody in the club. But the Natal Rich Boys will use this sad and emotional time to fuel the team to recover from a bad run of form in the DStv Premiership. A win will certainly bring some joy amongst everybody involved in the club. But I’m backing a stalemate.

TREBLE @ 13/1
Arrows Win 22/10
Pirates Win 13/10
Kaizer Chiefs Win 1/1
