Have a look at some of these clubs’ completed signings, potential player/coach transfers and more rumours doing the rounds in SA’s top-flight:

Ranga Chivaviro won’t settle for less than a CAF team, says agent

The 30-year-old Marumo Gallants striker attracted a lot of attention for his performances for the relegated DStv Premiership team. He netted 17 goals in 30 games in all competitions for his club this past season including seven in 10 CAF Confederation Cup matches as Gallants made it to the semi-finals.

Richards Bay are a reported destination for the in-form attacker with rumours circulating that the player has already signed a pre-contract, but his agent Trabi Harve expects his client to make a ‘bigger’ move.

Harve told the Sowetan: “Honestly, I don’t want to comment about that [whether Chivaviro signed a pre-contract with Bay] because I am reading a lot of things in the media. Our focus is on how the boy will get a new team for next season.

“Ranga has a CAF pedigree now, so the next level should be to play at that same level…[we aim] to look for a club who are in a CAF competition or else [he must] go to places like Saudi Arabia or Qatar. I’ve received a call from South Korea, waiting for an offer, so we’ll see what will happen. We must also look at Ranga’s age to see how things should be salary wise.”

Chivaviro has also been linked to Kaizer Chiefs, Young Africans of Tanzania and Libyan side Al Akhdar. Harve added: “It’s any player’s dream to play for Kaizer Chiefs in SA and outside SA. I won’t say anything more than that.”

Gift Motupa set to depart Mamelodi Sundowns

The attacking midfielder is poised to be the next first-team star to leave Mamelodi Sundowns following the recent departure of Andile Jali. Since joining the club from the now-defunct BidVest Wits in 2022, Motupa has struggled to secure regular playing time under head coach Rulani Mokwena. The 28-year-old attacker has reportedly finalized his departure from Chloorkop and is currently evaluating his options for the upcoming season. In addition to Motupa, defender Brian Onyango is also facing an exit, as his contract is set to expire at the end of June.

According to a source close to the player’s camp, “There have been issues with Motupa. He is one of the players set to leave the club at the end of this month,” as reported by Kick Off. Furthermore, Lesedi Kapinga, previously mentioned on KickOff, finds himself in a similar predicament, with an uncertain future looming after expressing his desire for a transfer during the January window. Reports suggest a strained relationship between Kapinga and Mokwena, which recently led to a falling out between the two.

‘One for the future’ Baloni joins Orlando Pirates

The Bucs have just signed 23-year-old midfielder, Siphelo Baloni from All Stars, according to reports. Rumours speculate that the exciting midfielder joins the Buccaneers on a three-year deal.

Three SA top-flight clubs interested in Tatenda Tavengwa

The 26-year-old former CAPS United man is currently in the books of National First Division side Venda Football Club. He joined the side at the beginning of the 2022/23 season from the Harare giants.

Following his strong performances in his debut season in the South African second tier league, Tavengwa is now wanted by at least three top clubs.

Reports suggest that Moroka Swallows, Chippa United and newly promoted outfit Polokwane City are keen on signing the Warriors international. He made twenty-seven league games for Vhenda and then left lasting memories against Pirates in the Nedbank Cup with a sublime midfield showing.

Babina Noko sign midfielder Kgothatso Mariba to add to busy transfer period

The side from Kempton Park continues to impress with their sharp scouting department. They always seem to have exciting players on their books, mostly signed from lower leagues across the continent. But they also keep a very close eye on the NFD, ABC Motsepe league as well.

Take a look at some of their confirmed signings so far:

Tiklas Thutlwa  – Black Leopards
Kgothatso Mariba – Venda Football Academy
