Days after lifting the Nedbank Cup, Kaizer Chiefs are celebrating another win as their attacker, Glody Lilepo’s strike against Marumo Gallants was voted the Betway Premiership Goal of the Month for April.
The goal was Lilepo’s third in the league as he netted his fourth goal in a 2-1 defeat to Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates earlier this month.
The Chiefs forward showcased his dazzling skill, weaving past three defenders with ease before sending a thunderous shot into the top corner.
He fended off competition from Kamogelo Sebelebele’s stunning strike for TS Galaxy against Magesi FC and Thulani Gumede’s brilliant curler from the edge of the box against Cape Town City both put up strong challenges.
Lilepo is joined by Sekhukhune United duo Eric Tinkler and Keletso Makgalwa, who were named Coach and Player of the Month respectively.
Makgalwa is in the forefront of helping Babina Noko qualify for next season’s Caf Confederation Cup as Sekhukhune are third, facing strong competition from Stellenbosch.
