A TimesLive report suggested that the Tunisian will sit on the Chiefs dugout for the last time against Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City as Amakhosi push for a top-eight finish in the Betway Premiership.

Nabi recently guided Chiefs out of their darkest spell where the club were nearing a decade of huffing and puffing as far as getting their hands on silverware is concerned.

Chiefs did it in grand fashion against Pirates, beating them 2-1 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium – a result that was followed by the news of Jose Riveiro’s early exit from the Buccaneers.

Riveiro was expected to see out the remainder of his contract, but the Spaniard has since been granted permission to vacate his position ahead of time as he will call the shots for the last time against Golden Arrows on Tuesday night.

While Riveiro’s pathway is clear, Nabi only made his immediate commitment to the club without making any mention of future plans at Naturena.

“I am very surprised about these rumours and questions because I am very concentrated on the remaining two games that are coming,” Nabi said on Hollywoodbets powered Marawa Sports World Wide.

“We are want to our players to also concentrate on the games and have a positive attitude because it is very important to finish in the top eight, I want the team to finish in the top eight and I don’t want to lose the momentum of winning the Nedbank Cup.

“I still have a contract and I am not too worried about that (leaving). I don’t think that it is the best moment to talk about that.

“Kaizer Chiefs is my family. Now I have the mission and the responsibility to focus on my job. We have two tough games and all of the players are focused on them,” Nabi added.

The Glamour Boys will take on Babina Noko on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the penultimate match of the season before the finale on May 24 against Rise and Shine.
