Broos recently blasted PSL clubs, players and coaches in the media for the lack of support when by not releasing players when required for national matches.

The Bafana coach has chosen to select you players for the national side and has decided not to depend as much on the experienced players as was done in the past, which has been met by mixed reactions by former players and coaches alike.

Mokwena told media at Moses Mabhida Stadium that he would be staying away from questioning Broos over his national team selection.

“I don’t want to get involved with this Bafana Bafana issue. I think the national team coach has done exceptionally well. I mean we have one of the best on the African continent with Hugo Broos,” Mokwena said.

“He has won the AFCON with Cameroon, so who am I to question his selection, to tell him who to select in the national team. He has experience and knows which team to use.

“For us, it’s to support him as long as our players return from national team injury free.”
