Udinese is put to the test again this weekend when they take on third-placed Lazio in what is panning out to be the match of the weekend. Meanwhile, Juventus need to put their heads up and shoulders back when they travel to Torino. Punters, I urge you to take some notes on who is the best team to trust this weekend.

Saturday 15 October

27/20 Empoli | Draw 23/10 | Monza 2/1 (15:00)

Serie A matchday 10 kicks off with Empoli, as they lock horns with Monza on Saturday afternoon at the Stadio Carlo Castellani Stadium. Empoli let themselves down in their previous encounter against Torino after failing to defend their lead conceding a goal in the 90th minute drawing 1-1.

Meanwhile, Monza has gained much confidence after a bad start to the season – the White and Reds have now won three games in a row. Back the away team.

9/4 Torino | Draw 9/4 | Juventus 13/10 (18:00)

After suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of AC Milan this past weekend, Juventus travel to Torino as they look to bounce back. They need to turn things around under coach Massimiliano Allegri as the pressure builds with his side’s shaky performances and poor results.

The last time the Old Lady visited Torino they collected maximum points and going back there again will hope to ease the tension. I’m tipping the Double Chance Draw/Win in favour of Juve here at 3/10.

6/10 Atalanta | Draw 32/10 | Sassuolo 42/10 (20:45)

Second-placed Atalanta takes on Sassuolo at the Gewiss Stadium. The home side enters this encounter after drawing 2-2 against Udinese.

The Goddess wants to close the gap between them and log leaders Napoli and playing at home will be to their advantage. Back Atalanta.

Sunday 16 October

1/3 Inter Milan | Draw 46/10 | Salernitana 7/1 (12:30)

Sunday’s fixtures start with Inter Milan, as they host Salernitana at the San Siro stadium. The hosts have back-to-back wins beating both Barcelona in the Champions League and Sassuolo in the league (prior to their return leg against Barca).

As for the away side, they were the victims of Inter last season getting hammered 5-0 in both encounters. The hosts are a banker in this game.

12/10 Lazio | Draw 26/10 | Udinese 9/4 (15:00)

Third-placed Lazio will entertain fourth-placed Udinese in what seems to be an intriguing encounter. Last season, when Lazio hosted the Friulians, it ended in an eight-goal thriller as both sides shared the spoils with a 4-4 draw.

Udinese is coming off of a tough test playing a 2-2 with Atalanta, and we must expect another goal-thriller here as both sides play attacking football. Neither side will want to drop points. I suggest Both Teams to Score (YES) is the best bet at 6/10.

15/10 Spezia | Draw 9/4 | Cremonese 19/10 (15:00)

Spezia takes on Cremonese, who are still searching for their first win in this campaign after being trashed 4-1 by Napoli last Sunday.

Spezia will relish the chance at bouncing back here after that 2-0 defeat to Monza, but that won’t be an easy task as the visiting team desperately need to turn things around while they still can. I see both sides cancelling each other out.

3/10 Napoli | Draw 46/10 | Bologna 8/1 (18:00)

High-flying Serie A leaders Napoli face Bologna at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Napoli is on an eight-matching winning streak after smashing Cremonese 4-1 and they have been dominating over the away side in their last four meetings. Add them to all multiplies.

44/10 Verona | Draw 31/10 | AC Milan 6/10 (20:45)

We close Sunday’s action with reigning champions AC Milan who travel to Verona in search of crucial points to defend their title.

After defeating Juventus by 2-0, confidence is high and I’m sure nothing will stop them from walking all over 18th Verona. AC Milan, banker this one.

Monday 17 October

39/10 Sampdoria | Draw 28/10 | Roma 7/10 (18:30)

After bouncing back to winning ways, Roma travels to Luigi Ferraris Stadium to take on bottom-of-the-log Sampdoria.

Last season, when Jose Mourinho’s side visited Sampdoria, they won the match by a slender margin and Roma should do it comfortably this time around.

26/10 Lecce | Draw 23/10 | Fiorentina 11/10 (20:45)

Matchday 10 of the Serie A ends with a bottom-half-of-the-table clash as Lecce and Fiorentina go head-to-head. Lecce has managed to get one win, two draws, and two losses in their last five games and will be looking to get some positive results when against Fiorentina.

While the away side will look to bring back their dignity after that 4-0 humiliation they got from Lazio in front of their fans. I’m tipping a draw.
