Just half a dozen games to go, defending champions Juventus remain in the driving seat in what was yet another successful week for the Italian giants. The Old Lady are six points clear at the top of the table with just six games to go. Though, Napoli are by no means just going to hand them the title, and showed that last weekend, after thrashing basement dwellers Hellas Verona 3-0. But let’s move on from that – gameweek 33 has a few enticing encounters, which include Inter Milan locking horns with title challengers Napoli in this week’s blockbuster.

Saturday 16 April

Bologna 7/4 | Draw 21/10 | Torino 17/10
Bologna have been dreadful in recent weeks, scoring just twice in their last seven matches, and suffering three defeats from their last four games. Torino come to town in a bit of form. Their 2-1 home win against Atalanta last weekend made it back-to-back wins for the Turin based club. Just three points separate the teams, with Torino placed 12th on the log on 39 points, and Bologna in 14th position. At 17/10, Torino are well-worth a punt.

Carpi 15/10 | Draw 21/10 | Genoa 19/10
Carpi remain perilously close to the drop zone after falling to a 1-0 defeat at Chievo, making it consecutive losses for the newcomers. Genoa made it five wins from their last seven matches after battling to a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Sassuolo last time out. However, I doubt this encounter will be cut and dry for Genoa. Carpi are fighting for survival and should make it difficult for their opponents here. I still see Genoa getting something out of this, but take them on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 5/10.

Inter Milan 17/10 | Draw 9/4 | Napoli 16/10
We end Saturday on a high, with Inter Milan playing host to Napoli. The Nerazzurri returned to winning ways last time out with a 1-0 victory away to 10-man Frosinone. Napoli showed they were able to cope without the suspended Gonzalo Higuain as they defeated 10-man Verona 3-0. However, even though they were shorn of the division’s leading marksman, each of the hosts’ front three scored in a victory that always looked routine after Samuel Souprayen’s dismissal in first-half stoppage-time. However, Inter have been strong at home with 10 wins from 16 matches and won the reverse tie 2-0. Get on Both Teams To Score at 7/10.

Sunday 17 April

Atalanta 4/1 | Draw 26/10 | Roma 7/10
Sunday kicks off at lunch time with Atalanta taking on Roma. La Dea are coming off a 2-1 loss away to Torino, but prior to that, they had won back-to-back home games. Roma will travel to Atalanta looking to put their disappointing 1-1 draw against Bologna on Monday night behind them.  The Giallorossi’s stalemate extends their unbeaten run to 11 matches, and they will be eager to get back to winning ways, with Napoli and Juventus making further ground. It won’t be a walk in the park, but Roma should do enough to come away with maximum points.

Fiorentina 8/10 | Draw 26/10 | Sassuolo 34/10
Fiorentina extended their winless streak to six matches last time out, going down 2-0 at Empoli. The Viola will gladly return to their ground, where they have managed 10 wins from 16 matches. Sassuolo dominated their game against Genoa, and forced a series of desperate saves, but still lost 1-0 after a sole strike from Blerim Dzemaili. Neither Fiorentina nor Sassuolo look good value for money, but the pair both have goals in them. I’d suggest Both Teams To Score at 17/20.

Hellas Verona 1/20 | Draw 27/10 | Frosinone 3/1
Hellas Verona and Frosinone will go toe-to-toe on Sunday afternoon in a bottom-of-the-table clash. Verona are off the back of a 3-0 thrashing away to Napoli, making it four defeats from their last six matches. Frosinone, meanwhile, fell to a 1-0 home defeat against Inter Milan to record their second loss in as many weeks. Both teams have struggled to score goals on a regular basis this season, so the Under 2.5 Goals market looks tempting at 21/20.

Juventus 3/20 | Draw 62/10 | Palermo 19/1
Juventus continued to march on to the Serie A title, securing a come from behind 2-1 win over AC Milan at San Siro. The Bianconeri temporarily moved nine points clear of Napoli in the title race with their 24th league win of the campaign. Juve are unbeaten in the league since October last year, a run of 22 matches, including 21 victories. Relegation-threatened Palermo are without a win in their last 11 games and that run looks set to continue. Juventus on the Halftime/Fulltime Double at 5/10 is the way to go.

Udinese 17/20 | Draw 24/10 | Chievo 34/10
Luigi De Canio’s Udinese were beaten 2-0 at Sampdoria last Sunday. However, the week prior saw them thump Napoli 3-1 on home soil. Sergio Pellissier came off the bench to give Chievo another impressive victory, making it three wins on the spin. Udinese are unbeaten in the last six league meetings against their opponents, claiming the victory on four occasions. Chievo have shown better form in recent weeks though, so back Both Teams To Score at 19/20.

Lazio 15/20 | Draw 26/10 | Empoli 36/10
Lazio’s first game since sacking boss Stefano Pioli and replacing him with Simone Inzaghi saw them record a comfortable 3-0 Serie A victory at strugglers Palermo. They bounced back from their 4-1 derby defeat to Roma last weekend thanks to Miroslav Klose’s early brace and a second-half Felipe Anderson strike. Goals from Manuel Pucciarelli and Piotr Zielinski ended Empoli’s nearly two-decade wait to beat Fiorentina in a 2-0 home win last Sunday. The victory ended a run of seven matches without a win. However, Lazio should still prove too strong for their opponents, and are tipped to Win + Both Teams To Score at 11/4.

Sampdoria 2/1 | Draw 9/4 | AC Milan 14/10
Sampdoria can start the party after sweeping Udinese aside 2-0, as their safety is practically assured now. AC Milan are next up. The Rossoneri are without a win in their last five matches, which include two losses on the bounce.  Milan are unbeaten against their opponents in the last seven meetings in all competitions, but Sampdoria have been the better team in recent weeks. Well this looks like it’s going to be a goal fest week, because I’m leaning toward another Both Teams To Score game at 15/20.
