The Spanish La Liga kicked off last weekend and Valencia grabbed all the headlines. This time, it was for the right reasons as the Bats put four past Levante to go top of the table. Osasuna and Granada continued where they left off last season when kicking off the new campaign with 2-0 wins over Cadiz and Athletic Bilbao respectively. I expected Huesca to be more competitive this season and they went to Villarreal and caused problems last week. Will there be more upsets in gameweek 2? Let’s find out.

Getafe 19/20
Draw 43/20
Osasuna 34/10
Getafe will finally get their season underway after their match was postponed last week due to their opponents being involved in the UEFA Champions League mini tournament. Their first assignment is a very difficult one as they welcome an Osasuna team that keeps on improving. The visitors enjoyed a good campaign last season, finishing in the top half and they kicked of the new season with an emphatic 2-0 win away at Cadiz. Having played one competitive game will work in their favour against a team that are yet to kick a ball. Take a chance and back the visitors on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 8/10.
Saturday 19 September
Villarreal 6/10
Draw 31/10
Eibar 9/2
Villarreal were not convincing at all in the opening round after needing a late penalty to draw with Huesca. Eibar were also disappointing, playing a goalless draw with Celta Vigo in what was the worst game of matchday 1. This fixture produced a lot of goals last season, three in the first leg and four in the second leg. Back Over 2.5 Goals at 7/10.
Celta Vigo 13/10
Draw 49/20
Valencia 2/1
After spending most of the previous season battling and fighting relegation, Celta Vigo still played like a relegation-fighting team last weekend against Eibar where both teams didn’t look like they would score, even an extra hour was added. Valencia, on the other hand, bagged four goals thanks to Manuel Vallejo’s brace and a goal each from Gabriel Paulista and Maximiliano Gomez. Back the visitors to continue with their impressive start.
Huesca 11/10
Draw 2/1
Cadiz 29/10
We kick off the Sunday fixtures with an interesting matchup as the two newcomers battle it out. Both teams will target maximum points in these fixtures and a win here will give them a huge advantage going forward. For me, I think Huesca are the much more experienced team as most of these players have played at this level and know what it takes to win matches. Back Huesca to win this one.
Granada 1/1
Draw 21/10
Deportivo Alaves 31/10
Granada were 2-0 winners on matchday 1 and this is a good opportunity to add to that. Alaves were crying for last season to end as their form took a horrible dip, winning twice in the last 17 matches. The visitors didn’t have a good pre-season as well, losing four and drawing one of the five matches. To top that up, Alaves lost their opening game at home to Real Betis, which makes this a banker for Granada. The hosts cannot lose this game. In fact, this is a banker.
Sociedad 33/10
Draw 28/10
Real Madrid 15/20
The champions begin their title defence with an away trip to Real Sociedad, a team that has been able to hold their ground against Los Blancos. It is surprising that Real Madrid start their campaign without any big-name signings, especially after being so flat last season. Yes, they were crowned champions, but they were not convincing both in the league and Champions League. They won most of their games by a Sergio Ramos penalty which indicates that Madrid need strengthening. Back Both Teams to score in this match at 13/20.
Monday 21 September
Real Betis 19/20
Draw 49/20
Valladolid 29/10
Real Betis started the campaign on a winning note and continued with the good form they showed during pre-season where they won all their games. This is a perfect opportunity to end their dismal record against Real Valladolid, who took six points from them last season. The visitors drew their first game playing to a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad. Back these sides to cancel each other.
DOUBLE @ 3/1
Granada Win 1/1
Huesca Win 11/10
