Week 27 Preview

Barcelona drops two points as title challenge falters. The Catalans were held to a two-all draw at Celta Vigo and are now two points behind their bitter rivals with six games to go. Casemiro’s first-half strike from Karim Benzema’s sublime pass gave Real Madrid victory over LaLiga strugglers Espanyol on Sunday night. Los Blancos are six games away from winning their first title in three season. Can Zinedine Zidane’s boys hold on?

Getafe 29/20
Draw 39/20
Real Sociedad 22/10
The ever drawing Getafe welcome a struggling Real Sociedad side to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. The 1-1 draw on the road with Real Valladolid in their last game marked Getafe’s third consecutive draw in the league schedule. On the flip side, the visitors are on a three-match losing streak. Sociedad are two points behind the home team on the log standings and with the latter’s ground advantage; they have a chance in taking all three-point from the clash. At the moment, a draw seems to be the best bet when Getafe are involved.

Mallorca 24/10
Draw 21/10
Celta Vigo 5/4
Mallorca have gave it their all this season but unfortunately their best wasn’t good enough  for top flight and will play in Segunda next season. One of the main reasons for Mallorca to be where they are is because of Celta Vigo resurgence. The Celtics have lost once in their last 10 league matches collecting a staggering 16 points. The good form has seen them eight points clear of their opponents. Should Mallorca fail to win this match relegation will be confirmed. Back Celta Vigo to confirm Mallorca’s relegation.

Leganes 29/10
Draw 21/10
Sevilla 21/20
Sevilla have been dropping points in the league recently. They desperately need need to things around to stay in the top four. The visitors have drawn five of their last six matches. Just like Mallorca, Leganes will be playing in Segunda next season and the best thing to do is to start preparing. Back Sevilla to collect maximum points against a Segunda bound team.

Barcelona 17/20
Draw 51/20
Atl Madrid 33/10
Barcelona host Atletico Madrid in featured game on Tuesday evening at Camp Nou. The hosts are two points behind Real Madrid at the top of the standings and a defeat here would almost proclaim Los Blancos the new La Liga champions for the 2019/20 season with just five games left to play. Atletico Madrid ar unbeaten in the last 12 fixtures including their last four wins on the bounce. The visitors are undoubtedly the in-form team coming into this tie and will feel confident in ending their four-year winless LaLiga run against Barca. The value is on Atletico Madrid to win at 33/10.

Alaves 31/20
Draw 39/20
Granada 21/10
Deportivo Alaves hopes to get back on track after their poor run of losing three matches on the bounce, they will be hosting Granada at Estadio de Mendizorroza on Wednesday night. Granada are still searching for a second win since football returned, they are winless in the first four games. Alaves are safe from relegation and Granada can’t qualify for European football so this gives less significance to this match. Back these sides to cancel each other out.

Valencia 27/20
Draw 2/1
Atl Bilbao 9/4
Mid-table rivals Valencia and Athletic Bilbao are set to lock horns in the headline fixture at Estadio de Mestalla. It will be a very important affair which could well determine both teams’ destiny in regards to their ambitions of catching one of spots that leads to European competitions next season. The hosts have been poor losing three of their last four matches while Bilbao are firing in all cylinders. Back the in-form team at a valuable 9/4.

Valladolid 14/10
Draw 43/20
Levante 2/1
Just like the previous campaign, these two teams will finish the season next to each other in the bottom half. Valladolid are currently 14th six points behind their opponents who occupy the 12th spot. Levante have won each of their last two meetings and they are the in-form team coming to this tie. As the form suggests, back Levante to make it three in a row against Valladolid.

Real Betis 49/20
Draw 33/20
Villarreal 31/20
Unbeaten in their last five matches with four wins in it will probably be an advantage for Villarreal prior to their clash. Real Betis have been terrible, winning just one game since football returned and that victory was against Espanyol – a team rooted at the foot of the table. The visitors are three points behind fourth-placed Sevilla and a win here will put them in pole position. This is a good opportunity for the Yellow Submarine to make their UCL return. Back the visitors to continue with their impressive run.

Thursday 02 July

Sociedad 17/20
Draw 24/10
Espanyol 34/10
With just five wins from their 32 league appearances so far, Espanyol has placed themselves at the ultimate bottom of the table. The visitors are well on their way to Segunda Division and they paid the price of participating in the Europa League with a small squad. Espanyol are 10 points behind 17th-placed Celta Vigo with six games left. Sociedad should win against a team that’s low in confidence.

Eibar 29/20
Draw 43/20
Osasuna 2/1
Osasuna have been on an impressive run (for their standards) in the Spanish top flight, ever since being promoted from the Segunda the last season. Both these sides come into this tie fresh from a two match winning streak and the hosts are unbeaten in the last four matches. This fixture was very disappointing in the first round where these clubs played to a goalless draw. I’m expecting a completely different outcome here, both these teams have nothing to lose and they have the form so I’m expecting a cracker. Back Draw and BTTS at 11/4.

Real Madrid 7/20
Draw 39/10
Getafe 8/1
Real Madrid continue their seemingly unstoppable run towards the elusive league title, and the sixth-placed Getafe surely are not expected to make any kind of dent in Madrid’s streak. With the kind of form Real Madrid are in, there honestly seems no stopping them from keeping the winning momentum going on. Los Blancos are six wins away from winning the league and these are such matches that Zidane will be targeting to win. Back Real Madrid to step closer to the title.

TREBLE @ 10/1
Villarreal Win 31/20
Atl Bilbao Win 9/4
Real Madrid Win 7/20
